“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

When we go to Branson we usually stay at one of the Hilton's that are there on the landing but for this v-day we decided to go down to the Chateau. Im a travel agent and my wife used to work for Hilton so we tend to be pretty picky when it comes to our hotel stays. Let me start by saying that the atrium is amazing, and the lobby/lounge area with the fireplace makes you want to sit down have a drink and read a book all day. When we arrived Hollie (who was super nice) at the front upgraded us to a mountain view king room instead of the doubles we had been stuck with, also when we got up to our room there was champagne and chocolate covered strawberries already in the room. The room service was great the burgers we ordered were amazing, and breakfast in bed topped the whole thing off in the morning.

We were given a gift card for a wedding gift for a 2-night stay and $150 hotel credit. However, our gift card gave us trouble the whole weekend. The restaurant said it had one too many numbers on it, so it would not run. Things had to be manually charged at the front desk. This wouldn't be an issue, except that the front desk couldn't keep the charges straight, and we had to go through a huge process to get checked out. I was glad I saved all my receipts from the stay so that we didn't end up with extra charges. During the whole confusion on the gift card, Hollie from the front desk called up to my room and basically accused me and my husband of trying to gouge the hotel and not pay for our food orders. I tried to explain to her about the gift card trouble, but she mostly made me feel like we were being dishonest or trying to cut corners. We weren't! We were just the customers trying to spend our gift card! We weren't trying to get things for free or cause trouble! It wasn't our fault the gift card gave them trouble! We didn't even know! Hollie ruined the trip for us, and no amount of tasty meals, fine decor, or comfortable beds will change that. The facility was beautiful and the food was great, but Hollie tainted the trip for us.

Recently stayed at this resort past weekend. This was a Valentines get-away. Upon arrival, was informed that I had been upgraded to a suite at same rate. (YES). The room was especially nice. Roomy layout with two TV's and a SUPER comfy King bed. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The concierge was a big help in booking the shows we watched. Price is well worth the stay. If I was to say anything more, PLEASE install a TV in the Bathroom, the speaker just kept me looking at it.

Room Tip: Lake-view, defiantly.

My family and I stayed last weekend for two nights at the Chateau. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and truly made our stay relaxing and pleasant! The pool was a nice size and had a large hot tub that many can fit in. The hotel was generally a quiet atmosphere and we really had a great time!

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view - it is amazing! The room has a balcony too!

It is a very beautiful resort. The rooms are very nice. The beds are very comfortable. The staff are very friendly. The view is wonderful. There are several places to just sit and visit. The restaraunt was very good. We would definitely recommend.

If you are looking for a great retreat, with fitness, tennis, swimming, hiking, scenic views of a lake and hills, and access to Branson, this is the place. Expect to pay a hefty price for these amenities though. It may be worth it though if you are looking to escape the strip.
