“Great Experince”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2010

It was so great to be in a small house with family instead of many hotel rooms. This was my first vaction with my boyfriend and his family and it made getting to know them more so much easier. With the number of people in our group we had three houses and we were lucky enough that we got on the same road and were only a couple of doors away from each other. We were close but had our privacy too. It felt like we were home instead of being on a vacation. My daughter loved that the pool was within walking distance and we didn't have far to drive to go see anything we wanted in Branson!

Unlike those complaining about signing on for a sales presentation, we are already owners. We had the most wonderful week at Stormy Point in Branson. The "Breakfast with the Stars" was fun and informative about the various shows in Branson. The poolside barbecue was delicous and fun! Movie night at the pool is family oriented and great! The cottages are beautiful and spacious. Last but not least we met numerous members of the staff and everyone of them went above and beyond in making our stay so pleasant. I not only will be going back on a regular basis, but would and have recommended to all I know.

We just got back from this gem a few days ago. The individual units make this a great place to stay. The floors are are HARDWOOD, so the noise factor is a bit much. The only negative I found was the fact that the volume from the downstairs TV was directed right upstairs to the upper bedrooms.... even with the doors closed. You actually heard the TV better from the top of the stairs than you did when sitting in the living room. Otherwise, the staff were responsive and extremely friendly. Don't forget to try the hamburgers. They are huge (plenty for two) and are made from high quality beef, along with home made buns...... to die for!!!! Nice lounge/bar to enjoy a drink with your burger, while watching the news or a game. I loved this place, and will return!

My husband and I came to Branson to relax right after our daughter was married. This resort was absolutely the perfect place to do just that . We had our own little "cottage"-away from traffic, but still only 5 minutes to shows and restaurants.
I have stayed at resorts where check-in is a nightmare-this was a piece of cake. Walked in-got our key and were sent to our villa. Everyone was very friendly and the place is immaculate. You must stay here if you want tranquility and still enjoy the wonderful Branson shows-shopping and food. We will be back next year!!

We were stupid enough to agree to this 90 minute presentation for the promised free gifts...while the hotel we were put up in was not as bad as some and we enjoyed the show--we were very disappointed in the restaurants we had to choose from...we were told we would eat at Andy WIlliam's Moon RIver but - no that was not on The list all the choices were greasy spoon buffets! And yes the 90minutes presentation was about 4 hours- when we questioned this we were told we asked too many questions....when in reality we were shown the presenters photo album of her family and her vacations! When she finally took no for an answer...she was quite rude and couldn't get rid of us quick enough... The resort was nice but as others have said....they lied and were rude!! --- One older lady asked a question and was laughed at and made the brunt of the presenters corny joke! We enjoyed our trip to Branson - will NOT have any more dealings with the company 'summer winds resort'

I joined my parents for 5 days as they are timeshare owners and traded into this resort. I was very impressed with the entire resort but be aware they are working on the expansion and construction starts at 7 am and if you are in the cabins fronting the construction it will be loud.. We were in the middle of the village and I woke every morning to the sounds of heavy construction equipment clearing the land above the resort.
The cabin is very nicely decorated but again the open two story design makes for very noisy rooms as the wood floor and high ceilings bounce the noise around and my parents sounded like elephants walking around above me. The bed was great and very comfortable. You can't walk into the kitchen without being seen as the big back window blinds do not close so the provided robe was appreciated. We had no problems with lots of hot water and cooked meals with the provided utensils no problem. If you are a larger family bring paper plates as think there was only 4-5 plates total.
The pool and clubhouse was very nice and every day we were there they had live music starting around 4pm. We found the clubhouse gift shop to have very good prices on shows and we were in the 1-4 row every time. You can get on the internet (unsecured) at the clubhouse for free but they charge to have that in the cabins. One computer is available if traveling without laptop.
Cons:
My parents fussed a little as it was hard to find in the dark and they thought it was a distance from downtown and the shows. It seemed like just a few minutes to me but they have stayed on the strip and were spoiled. There is NO close access to the lake , no airport pick-up (must have a car if staying here), I would strongly suggest talking to the front desk and requesting a cabin as far from the construction as possible. If walking up steps is a problem, several cabins have flat walk in and lots have multiple stairs to reach the front door. I noticed some cabins that you can't park in front of your cabin so unloading lots of heavy luggage could be an issue.
I would go back again .

We were lucky enough to spend a week at this super spot in Branson. It's not in the middle of the action but you can be on the strip in no time. All the staff were extremely courteous, helpful and ever so friendly. The cape cod houses are sooo cute!.If I had to make a negative comment it would be about the hangers...fall all the time and we often found clothes on the floor. When booking your stay, confirm that you either have a driveway or at least verify the amount of steps up to your unit, especially if someone in your party has problems with knees/back. We certainly hope to get back there!!
