“GREAT WYNDHAM TIMESHARE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

We stayed at Wyndham Mountain Vista Sept 2-7 2012. We are Wyndham owners and have stayed at 10+ Wyndham resorts. This was definitely in the upper third in terms of overall quality, value and service. The units are right by the Welk resort and about 3 miles south of the theater district. Our unit was clean and spacious. More room than we needed, but nice for a vacation. This resort has excellent customer service. The staff were very accommodating and asked if we needed help several times. The activities are also very well organized. No need to go to all of the shows if your not interested. There's plenty to do right here. AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: bottom floor if you can get it.

This was our 2nd stay at Mountain Vista and we were not disappointed. We stayed in a 3 bedroom deluxe with our 7 children. With 2 king rooms, and a 2 doubles room, two bathrooms, three televisions and a larger kitchen we had plenty of room to store our belongings and move around. The condo was clean, well stocked, and attractively decorated. The staff was always at hand for rides to the clubhouse and extra supplies. The outdoor pool area was wonderful for all ages with a 1 ft. kiddie pool our 3 year old decided was just for her. It was nice when the rain came down and we could move into the the indoor pool area. There was also a playground and pool near our building. We had a bottom floor condo on the end of the building which was really ideal for a large family. We didn't worry so much about the noise we made!

Room Tip: For larger families a condo on the bottom floor near an end or breezeway may allay some fears of cre...

Stayed in a 3-bedroom deluxe condo. When we walked in, the kids squealed like little piglets! our room was amazing. Washer and dryer in the unit. Huge bedrooms. Both bathrooms are more than adequate. No need to spend a lot of money as everything is right here. More than enough pools to keep the kids occupied. The rec center/activity center has a lot of fun activities. Plus you can check out movies and games to use in your room! The only downfall is the resort isn't really close to the strip. Not a big deal as we stayed on resort most of the time. Would definitely come back to this resort if I were a timeshare holder!

The room was beautiful, the grounds were beautiful, there was a playground and arcade my son loved, the beds were SO comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and everything felt like home away from home! I always stay here and will always stay here. Pools are clean!

Other posters have commented on the noise from neighboring units, and I must agree. I don't recall hearing from units beside or below us, but the noise from the neighbors above us made up for it. Kids were jumping, running, etc., and it became quite irritating. I could also hear them using the jacuzzi. If you can get past the noise, the resort itself is very nice, clean, extremely helpful staff, and convenient location. The people working the desk at the Activities Center did a great job helping us with tickets and reservations for shows. One person was very particular in requesting specific seats in order to provide us with the best view of the show. The pool was clean, and they enforced pool hours. AC worked great which was nice given the daytime temps of 105. Our two bedroom condo was more than adequate for us. King size bed in the master bedroom and two double (maybe queen???) beds in the second bedroom. Master bathroom was HUGE! I loved having a washer and dryer available in the condo, so we always had clean clothes. While we didn't use the kitchen much, it appeared to have almost anything you'd possibly nead. The resort also offers free or very inexpensive activites on site which is nice if you don't want to spend money on a show. They did call to see if I was interested in learning more about thier time share packages. When I told them that my husband wasn't with me, they left me alone. I would definitely return but only if I have a condo on the top floor.

Room Tip: Be sure to request a room on the top floor. Each building has an elevator, so no need to worry abou...

We stayed here in a 2-bedroom suite in February 2012, and loved every minute of our stay!

The Positive... The suite, grounds, staff, activities, indoor pool, workout room, arcade, playgrounds, etc... There's not much going on in Branson in the middle of February, which is one of the reasons we went when we did - very little traffic! Our goal was to get away and spend time as a family. We tried getting out to see the local sights every day, but always found ourselves going back to the condo to relax and play! We usually played during the day, taking our 2-year old daughter to both playgrounds, playing in the arcade, and swimming in the clean indoor pool. In the evenings, we took advantage of the activities... I even won a game of BINGO! My wife is an excellent cook, and enjoyed preparing meals in the fully furnished kitchen. We then sat as a family and ate our meals at the dining room table. In the evenings, there was no noise and we all slept very well in the comfortable beds, waking up in the mornings feeling well rested! Another small item we took advantage of was the washer and dryer in our suite! No need to save up our change to take our dirty clothes to the laundromat! Plus, they provided us with free laundry soap! Sometimes the small items are overlooked - Not so at Wyndham Mountain Vista! Although my wife and I had a wonderful time, our 2-year old daughter had an absolute blast! It became more obvious when she wanted a ride on the "golf-cart-limo", which was a golf cart with four or five rows of seats. One of the staff (I believe his name was Rick) asked her if she wanted a ride, and when she said yes, he treated us like royalty and gave us a guided tour throughout the entire complex! What a wonderful time!

The Not-So-Positive... About half way through our stay, we received a phone call saying that the jacuzzi tub in our master bathroom was leaking into the suite below us. They worked out a time when we would be gone to come in and fix it. We never saw them, nor did they leave a mess. This was the only time in the entire week when they had to come into our suite... We had it all to ourselves the rest of the week with no interruptions!

The NEGATIVE... There was one time when the toilet backed up and I needed to use a plunger, but I'm not sure if that was a toilet issue or more of a personal issue...?

We try to take a family vacation at least twice a year, and have stayed at many different places. This is by far one of our favorites! We are definately going back!

Room Tip: Our room was on the east end, which was right next to the community center! We LOVED the location!
