We booked the Bradford House online. The pictures looked like a a Victorian Mansion. It has 18 rooms, plus a large dining room and living room and a lovely foyer. Overall, the property needed some renovations. There was very little outside lighting, and coming back at night was a challenge to walk inside. The floors and wallpapers looked shabby and worn. Our room needed some extra storage, and they provided us with 2 small additional tables. The bathroom was clean, but the carpeting needed a good vacuuming . The tops of the dressers, window sills and window treatments had a thick coat of dust. The bedding was old, but comfortable. The sheets looked worn, but appeared ok. Another thing: the television was positioned to the side of the bed, not in front of the bed. Therefore, we had to turn our heads to the side and it became very difficult to watch it. Every day we had to ask for additional towels. We also had to ask for soap, shampoo, and toilet paper. They seemed to always be running low. The breakfast was just ok. The sausage and biscuits were of the frozen variety. Some mornings there were eggs, or waffles, juice and coffee. The griddle needed a good cleaning also. On the living room window sill there were dead bugs, dust and food crumbs. Would we stay there again? I don't know, for what it costs us, we could have stayed in an upscale hotel.
