“JACKSON HANEY, UPTOWN CAFE NOT TO BE MISSED!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We just recently saw a brand new show at the Uptown Cafe by Bill Haley's Original Comets former lead singer and guitarist, Jackson Haney called "Bobby Socks to Woodstock." For a VERY reasonable price (around $25) you get lunch AND a show. Jackson and his show is THE BEST entertainment I've seen in Branson in a looooong time. Not only is he a great guitarist and singer, he makes you feel like your part of the family and also lets you in on some behind the scenes stories of his years with the "Rock Around The Clock" guys. This show is NOT to be missed!!!

“Good Food, Reasonably Priced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013 via mobile

The breakfast buffet is good, although they do not have a huge selection. Cinnamon rolls are very tasty. They do have the basic breakfast food entrees and it is reasonably priced. Coffee is good which is important. We have ate here over time and think the lunch food (burgers and tenderloin) is good. They do have frequent live entertainment which may or may not appeal to everyone. Staff is friendly.

“Pretty Good Burgers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

My family and I stopped in for a quick lunch recently. Both my wife and I ordered the Steakburgers which were very good, perhaps a notch above Steak & Shake. The fries were typical shoestring, no complaints there.

The atmosphere is 50s nostalgia diner with some live music, which was also geared towards nostalgia. We sat away from the music, which was at a moderate volume and did not bother us.

Price was average for a lunch in Branson.

I wouldn't hesitate to stop in for a lunch.

“Skip the food and go for desert”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

My family all ordered the burgers. They were average. The staff was polite. The atmosphere was very clean and pleasant. The best part of the experience was the banana split. It was very good and about the only thing during this trip that I would do again.

“Okay, if you're a greasy food fan”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013 via mobile

First of all, full disclosure… I am not a big "burger joint" fan. I do not eat at Sonic, Rallys, Whataburger, etc and detest Mcdonalds and Burger King. With that said, if you are a patron of these types of places, you will like this place just fine.

My wife & I got into Branson late & hungry. We did not want to drive anywhere so we walked to Uptown Cafe since it was close. The building is nice, new & clean. It wasn't very busy & we got seated immediately. The waitress was both prompt & friendly. Though it wasn't busy, I suspect she could have kept up during a rush.

The food was very typical greasy spoon type. I had a burger. It was tasty but a real artery clogger. Chips or fries were the default side choices. My wife had a club sandwich in hopes of staying on the healthy side. It turned out to be very greasy with bread soaked in butter and meat to match. After her meal, she had an intense salt aftertaste in her mouth.

Prices were somewhat on the high side but the portions were large. If you eat healthy, skip this place. If you like to pig out on a tasty burger and such, this is a place to try.
