We'd just had a horrible experience (see my Gobbler's Mountain Resort review) and were frantic for a place to stay. There was a car show going on and everything was either full or had a 2 day minimum and we only had one day left. Called Alpenrose early in the morning and spoke to Loraine. Usually you can't check in a hotel before 2:00 but when I explained the jam we were in she told us to come on and she'd have our room ready. We arrived to a CLEAN room and a FRIENDLY person...... I was feeling better already. The rooms aren't fancy but the price isn't either. We paid $55 for a king and all rooms are non-smoking. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, free wireless internet , continental breakfast and a nice pool. One of the advantages that this inn would have in cooler weather is that they are right next door, on the same side of the street, to Pirates Cove Minature Golf and a go-kart track. I was sorry it was so hot when we were there (105 degrees) because the minature golf course really looks neat. All you'd have to do is have pizza delivered and walk next door to entertain the kids in case you were tired of fighting traffic.

This place is almost perfect! The price was reasonable, it was clean and the management was nice. Plenty of hot soft water. Didn't expect soft water! They have breakfast in two levels, plus an outside eating area, all super clean. They have waffles, cold cereal/milk, a small cup of caned fruit (limit one) and toast/jelly, coffee/tea and juice...that's it.. No rolls or eggs or anything else!
No protein at all.
But the price was cheap, so maybe that is all they could afford. We went out for breakfast after the first day. The motel was near everything and we would go back. BTW food in Branson is very reasonable.

We were pleased with the pool. We liked the location and my daughter liked that we were beside Pirates Cove. But unfortunately, we went to the vending machine and I got peanuts and my daughter got peanut butter crackers. Well when I looked at the expiration date after we took our first bits, the peanuts expirated in April 07 and the crackers March 07. The soda machine next to the snack machine took my money. And to make matters worse, when I went to get some ice, there was a long black hair inside the ice bucket from our room. We all have short hair. So I went down to the lobby to get another but the door was locked. Needless to say, we didn't get any bedtime snacks that night.

Was scheduled to stay from June21-25th. Checked out after first night. If you like screaming kids next door and thumping on the walls, then this is the place for you. Management was no help. The place was not full so why they put kids next door to a couple is beyond me.
