Grand Country Inn

A coworker told me about this place so I ventured on my own for a two hour drive with my 3 (ages 9,7,4) grandchildren for an overnight. I was thrilled with our stay and the children didnt want to leave. The staff is friendly and helpful. I was a little concerned that our room was in a building other than the main building, but it is a nice walk or short drive to the main parking lot. The park water is clear and odorless, and the rooms are so clean!!! I am fussy about the bed and it was very comfy. Yes, there are lifeguards who are great at keeping all safe.I was so happy to see them. I couldn't keep my eyes on all 3 at once! The grill inside the water park was a great find with the usually finger food fare. The buffet surprised me with all of the variety. The Amazing Pet Show is a must see and very fun. You can be here for days and never have to leave the property. We are already planning our next visit !!

“It was worth the price of room for included waterpark access”

We booked a couple days before going down to Branson. My 20mos daughter LOVED the toddler area although the entire indoor and outdoor parts needed renovating. The outdoor park was completely shut down both days we were there and the outdoor pool was shut down on Monday as well. (We stayed Sunday night) Our room was within reasonable distance from the waterpark although we did pay the $10 to be closer to it- wasn't worth the extra $$ since the walk from the second set of rooms isn't horrible. There were only 2 lifeguards that actually did their job making sure unsupervised kids weren't toppling over unsuspecting guests on the lazy river as well as unsupervised toddlers that had the run of the toddler area. We still enjoyed our night away, though. It was worth the complications to see our daughter enjoy her time. Although on Monday the toddler area indoors was completely shut down. ALL day long- WHAT a bummer being that I had a toddler... repainting and maintenance. Would have gone a different weekend if we were told the outdoor AND indoor toddler areas would be unavailable at any time. We did find seclusion in the indoor pool located down by the second set of rooms and enjoyed the pool all to ourselves- that, was very nice.

The buffet (brunch) was expensive and we'd of rathered Shoney's just across the street. Walking distance from the shoppe, music hall, gift shoppes, and buffet was nice.

We met one very nice lady on staff to fill a bear for our daughter but the remaining staff inside the Fudge Gift Shoppe place were completely miserable and lacked common courtesy for paying customers- it's amazing how others have run into this problem as well.

We were given a brochure that wasn't suppose to go out after Memorial Day so on Sunday night, when we tried to order a pizza, at quarter to 8PM the shoppe had already closed and blamed the miscommunication on the hand-out error. Yeah, wasn't our fault we're actually just the customers...

This has to be the best value in Branson. They have great great shows, and without a doubt the best place to eat in Branson, don't even try other places to eat, plan all your meals here, their shows offer performers that are friendly not only after the shows, but even walking around the area they stop and visit. Absolutely Great. Art Bishop St Charles MO

The nice thing about the grand country inn is the food, arcades, indoor putt-putt golf and of course the indoor waterpark that surrounds the hotel. The rooms are o.k. but they are not worth the money. If you were not planning on using the waterpark then there is no way i would recommend staying here. If there is a family of four and you are planning on going to the indoor waterpark then you are going to pay $60.00 for that if you stay somewhere else so you might as well stay at the Grand Country.

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — Close to lots of indoor fun for kids, thats good for cold weather.
    • Disliked — That the waterpark isn't connected to the rooms, and rooms aren't impressive.

Branson slows down a lot after the Christmas season. There are still several good shows. Crowds are at an extreme minimum. Sales are at an extreme maximum. You can catch a lot of post holiday and winter clearance sales. The Grand Country Inn is the best place to stay with kids. They have an enormous indoor water park with waterslides, pools, hot tubs, lazy river and more. Grand Country needs a refresher in customer service, but the beds are great.

Not as much activity as summer, but still a great way to get out of the house during cold months especially with the kids.
