“2 hours, a few dollars, and a plastic bag”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2012 via mobile

It was neat to learn about the life cycle and conservation efforts being taken. Even our 12 y.o . son was engaged in the presentation and asked questions. They sell food to feed the fish..all you need for that is a roll of quarters and a bag or something to put the food in. The kids will enjoy watching the fish "battle" for the food.

A great (free) place for a young family to spend an hour. The movie, displays and conversations with volunteers were very educational. You can check out several aquatic animals and reptiles (including several snakes) in tanks.

If you're going to feed the fish, a bag or small container may be helpful. The food dispensers are on one end of a very large feeding area and the food pellets are hard to hold.

If you're thinking of visiting the dam next to the hatchery, you should know that vehicles are prohibited from stopping anywhere at the top of the dam. So the best place to appreciate the dam is at the hatchery.

“A Fun Place”

Great for kids and right in front Table Rock Dam. If you hear them blow the horn, it means that are about to let water out.
