“Too much food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

This was out first time at the Dixie Stampede - the show was fast-paced and fun. Dinner was good - however, I did not like eating while the show was going on. Would prefer to eat first and then have a chance to really watch the talented horsepeople, buffalo, etc. And there was entirely too much food - so much so that it really disturbed me to throw so much food away.

“OK once”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

I went there about 10 years ago and again in June. Not many changes. Food is good and fun for children but once is enough

“The horses were great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

It is a beautiful facility. We loved the horses and the show was ok. We did not care for the way the dinner was served as it was thrown on your plate by the server. He was taking care of too many people for one server to handle. Our chicken was thrown on the plate literally as well as the rest of the meal. He would rush by and yell chicken and then toss it on your plate. He would do this several more times with the rest of your meal. To be fair they told us we would not be utilizing utensils and would be eating everything with our hands. It's part of the show but we did not care for it. Food was ok, nothing to write home about.

“If you like horses, you will enjoy the show”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

My wife and I aren't big show people. That being said, we did enjoy this show. We are horse lovers and this show has plenty of horses (and bison, long horn steers, sheep, ponies and doves). The stables are lined up along the entrance to the show so you can meet the stars (horses) as you go in. We found the show to be a bit corny, but fun. I haven't seen so may flags since I was in the service. If you want to fit right in, wear your sparkles in red, white and blue! This is a dinner show and the food was good but way too much. We recommend this show to animal lovers.
