When you first arrive, you see a very stylish building, but that is the office. The actual rooms are in old fashioned basic buildings. When you first arrive, the rooms look basic, with old style decor, but clean and well-maintained. Think again. We arrived at 3 am, so we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door til about 11 am which I imagine is why our room did not get cleaned. The second day, the man came to clean while I was in the shower. My son did let him in but imagine my surprise to get out of the shower and see a man in my room! The 3rd day, housekeeping came while we were at the hotel breakfast. Obviously we did not expect that and were not ready for them. We walked in to find one bed that was made and the other not, because there was stuff on it, since I did not expect service so early. It was very disturbing to find they left the trash can on my bed, for some reason.
That's not all folks. The room was also occupied by ants. They started in the bathroom and by the third day here, took up residence in the bedside table.
There were maintenance issues too. The cable worked for about an hour. The plugs by the sink worked ocassionally and the security lock thing on the door did not work. I could hear people walking by all night long.
The breakfast was better than most, with hot eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. There was a big sign asking for tips, which was amazing because you got your own food and drinks and the one waitress never came by. We tipped her anyway because the sign brazenly guilted us into it :-)
I make many trips to Branson but won't stay here again.
