“A Week in the Ozarks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in the Ozarks. We stayed at the Lodges at Timber Ridge in Branson, a Welk resort. Our unit was modern--granite countertops, three head shower--immaculate, and well-supplied with linens and cooking tools. Laundry facilities are in the unit. The views from the unit were beautiful. There is a pool on the property, as well as a restaurant.

The Lodges are conveniently located to live performance theaters, the Silver Dollar City theme park, and historic Branson. A slightly longer drive will take one to Dogwood Canyon, a beautiful wildlife preserve, or to the scenic vistas of the Ozark Plateau. There is fishing and boating for the outdoor sportsman. Bass Pro Shop is in historic Branson, easy access for forgotten fishing equipment.

There are many concert theaters where one may enjoy a variety of musical performances, as well as comedy, magic and acrobatics. Dining is not limited to chain restaurants. Many bargains can be found in local restaurants. The type of food available is varied. Be sure to get a Branson Guest Card for discounts throughout the city. Overall, Branson is a very family friendly place for a vacation.

Great place to stay in Branson. Better than a hotel suite. My wife loved the tub and I liked the shower with 3 heads. We are already planning on returning this summer and for Christmas.

the facilities far exceeded our expectations and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone. My family plans on going back later this summer during school vacatation.

Room Tip: We had a one bedroom and had lots of room.

We stayed at the Lodge portion of this hotel/lodge and it was nice. Stayed in 1 bedroom, that had very modern furnishings. The swimming area does not look awesome, but we had a great time in there everyday. Water slide is actually fast and not lame. With our unit, we had full kitchen, dining, sofa bed, and of course separate bedroom. Had 2 kids/2 adults and we were happy about this hotel. The only thing is knowledge of the front desk. I asked about closest grocery store and was put on hold while they ask each other, and another time they had to find out how to call people at another room in the hotel

Room Tip: Lodge = timeshare. Hotel= hotel

WelkBranson, General Manager at Lodges at Timber Ridge Branson, responded to this review, March 15, 2012
Thank you for your gracious review of your stay at the Lodges at Timber Ridge. We are very proud of our lodge resort and are even more excited when we read a flattering review like yours.
We did notice that you had a couple of concerns about the knowledge of our front desk staff. We are sorry about any inconvenience this caused. Our staff is trained to make sure the information they give our guests is as accurate as possible. Due to the recent storms that caused some damage to a few local businesses, our staff was updating their information constantly through the day. The closest grocery store to our resort was closed due to the storm, and our staff was trying to confirm that, and find out any alternate store information. Normally, these are not questions that our staff would have a problem answering. We will alert our front desk staff of your concerns, and make sure they have the information to provide the best service possible.
Thank you again and we hope you will return soon to visit us.

My husband was working the Log and Timber show the last weekend in Feb 2012, leaving my three small kids and I on our own during the day, and Timber Ridge was the perfect place to keep them entertained! They all three had a ball at the Splash-a-Torium, there was plenty of room in the ladies room to get all three of them changed into swim stuff. The water was warm and clean and I LOVED those wooden adirondak style chairs! I probably would have spent the whole weekend in one of those if I wasn't chasing my little ones! My boys enjoyed the air hockey and foos ball table and the playground was alot of fun. The rooms were the perfect size for our family and the kitchen was very well stocked. Just a word of advice, if staying with small kids you may want to bring your own paper plates so you don't always have to use the nice dishes in the room. The bathroom was huge, plenty of room. We drove by Grand Country and I have to say I was SOOO glad that we didn't book there, it looked like a noisy mess, Welks was just a bit off the beaten path and beautiful and picturesque! Well worth the 5 minute drive from the strip! Wish we could have stayed longer! (If you go to Branson you HAVE to stop by Three Sisters Old Time Photos, the one by the Tattoo parlor. They were AWESOME!)

Room Tip: If you have small kids or are handicapped or out of shape make sure you book an upper level room, th...

We stayed in the villa for 3 nights in January and even though there was not too much going on in Branson at that time of year we had a ball. It was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years. The front desk staff was deliteful and very helpful. Our villa was outstanding & actually felt like home the minute we walked in. The Grounds are beautiful and we can hardly wait to go back in the spring and any time we can get away. Next time we are going to take friends with us so they can enjoy the beauty and friendly surroundings too. We would recomend the Lodges at Timber Ridge to anyone. You cannot go wrong with staying here.
