“Great lunch, OK dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Had lunch overlooking the atrium and we really enjoyed it so much we went back later in the week for dinner. At dinner we had a table overlooking the river. The food was very good, not exceptional and he service was good but the waiter made you feel that he was doing a favor by serving you.

“Go to see the hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We had heard about the fried avocado appetizer and French onion soup so we went to the hotel to try them. Had these 2 appetizers and a VERY small blueberry salad at the cafe. The avocado and soup were incredible - I would definitely recommend, and the hotel is beautiful with a great view of the lake. With 2 glasses of wine, this will be our most expensive dining here in Branson.

“Excellent quality, in beautiful surroundings at affordable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) took the breakfast buffet today. We were recommended to take breakfast or lunch, as dinner can be kind of pricey.

We were greeted by a polite and efficient lady, who described the buffet perfectly and seated us with a lake view (even though we weren't staying at the resort). The dinning room is elegant and wasn't too busy for our 9am breakfast.

Although the buffet isn't huge; it was just delicious in every way. There was a variety of breads, muffins and bagels; fresh fruits which were regularly topped up; yoghurt s and cereals; usual cooked items of sausage, bacon and eggs; but the omelette bar was amazing. The young chef made a fabulous, cooked to perfection garden fresh omelette with a selection of items. The kids also tried the cooked to order pancakes and waffles which were equally as good.

Price includes coffee and juice. Overall I thought this place was excellent and surprisingly great value. We will definitely be going back whilst we're here.

“Beautiful decor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

We visited for lunch during the week after Christmas and chose to eat in the Atrium rather than the Grille. The lobby was beautifully decorated and made for a festive holiday experience. There were only a couple other tables occupied when we arrived (several groups came later) so we had our choice of seating. Food was good (soup of the day, fish and chips, quiche, grilled chicken). Although a bit pricey we knew we were also paying for the ambiance. However, as others have noted the service was a bit slow; maybe not enough staff in the kitchen. We were in no hurry and leisurely enjoying the afternoon, but considering the few people in the restaurant service was quite slow. The staff was all friendly and very helpful, from the valet car parker, to the receptionist, to the waiter, to the clerks in the lovely hotel lobby shops. I live about an hour away and will go back for lunch sometime and would also like to try the Thanksgiving buffet other reviewers rave about.

“No Food for 2.5 HOURS after placing our order..........CHRISTMAS EVE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

A couple weeks before Christmas my husband and I decided to take an employee to dinner at the Chateau Grill for Christmas Eve Dinner. Reservations well in advance - check.

We arrived on schedule - ordered a glass of wine for my husband - a tomato juice for myself and awaited our guest. He arrived and we ordered a glass of wine for him. We reviewed the menu and placed our orders. This was at about 6:45 pm. There were very few diners in the dining room - . Our orders were relatively simple - NY Strips for the men, a filet for me - with simple sides. 2 hours later - and after many people coming, eating, and leaving, we left. We had talked to a supervisor, to the restaurant manager - and people continued to be served around us - still no dinner. The manager talked to us TWICE and assured us our dinners were on the way - BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. We got up and left........with the manager and the waiter - AZIZ - following us apologizing profusely. You know, the apologies on round one were good - the apologies on round two were good. After 2.5 hours the apologies weren't washing. I really believe our orders weren't turned in at all - and weren't subsequently turned in as everyone around us came and went and we still weren't served.

This wasn't our first trip to Chateau. We had Christmas Brunch there last year - as well as Mother's Day, Easter, and Thanksgiving..........this was the last in a series of deteriorating service. I knew the waiter by name - so we're not 'regulars' as much as we are 'frequent diners' -

I'm very upset with the whole incident. There were no other restaurants available - it was Christmas Eve - and we had a long drive home. This was awful service and not worth the gasoline it took to get down there and back.

Thanks for NOTHING!!!

Dear Sir:

What can I say other than we are very sorry for our ineptness during your most recent dining experience at our Chateau Grille. What you experienced was certainly not in keeping with our own high standards. Over the years we have gained a reputation for great food and great service as acknowledged by many in other reviews.
I understand that our Director of Restaurant has already been in touch and has extended an invitation for you and your wife to be our guests at another time. If I am not mistaken your guest has already been back. All accounts were that we were able to make amends for our previous failings. We look forward to having you back as our guests.
