We were there over the Easter weekend and picked this for our first show to see and could not have been more pleased. My Mother-in-law from N.J. was with us and I was a little worried of which type of shows she would enjoy. Even at 70 she just feel in love with the guys form New South. They are listed a Bransons Best Quartet. They sing things from country hits to the Oak Ridge Boys, to Statler Brothers, along with Gospel, 50's to even modern day stuff. On top of all of that they have a funny guy named Jim Dandy. He was a hoot. Him and Mike Patrick will keep you laughing. Then they have two other people singing The Hot Callie Agler (I loved getting that autograph) and Todd Bradshaw.
This show was so much fun that when they offered to us to stay around until 11pm and watch the Grand Country Friday Night Radio Show for only $5 we jumped at it. Remember my 70 year Mother-in-law just came in from N.J. And even with her body on eastern time she still wanted to stay up late to watch this show be broadcast.
Durring the intermission you can go and buy CD, posters, shirts, and my favorite the cast production photo (I think it was around $2) And everyone there are more than willing to talk and sign autographs. For an autograph hound that is a deal. 8 autographs for $2. Plus standing around and talking with them. Outstanding. These people are cool and not untouchable like stars can get.
There is a restaurant there also. The Grand Country Buffet. We did not try it but others told us that it was good. Plus the is a pretty nice gift shop there. We found most of our trinkets to take home there. And for fun sit in the big love chair. For 25 cents it is sure to make everyone laugh.
