“Village inn and good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

This is a very welcoming restaurant right in the middle of Ramsbury but easy to reach on a stopover from the M4. Armchairs and a warm fire greet you with friendly staff to look after your needs. It is a relaxing and pleasant place where you can dine in the bar or restaurant. The food is not haute cuisine but well cooked and healthy, especially the fish. It can be supplemented by the excellent local Ramsbury beer. The bill for 2 at lunchtime came to approximately £40 without service.

“Great Venue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

We met a friend for lunch on her suggestion (she hadn't been for several years) and we were not disappointed. Food good, service even better and very friendly and seating great. One word of caution, car park is small and parking can be tight.

“Evening quick meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We popped into the Bell for a quick evening pint and decided to stay for a bar supper. As always the staff were attentive without being obtrusive. The beer is second to none and the burgers were delicious. The triple cooked chips however mean I will now have to rejoin the gym to get beck in my strides! They could not be left uneaten. Great meal in friendly surroundings.

“excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Have used this venue for meetings as well as dining with friends. My cousin from London met here and was blown away by the setting, food quality, and staff.Although there was a large Hunting Party having a raucous time it did not interfere with our sumptuous Fish and Chips from the small Menu!! This a true experience, of quality at its best. My wife always judges a restaurant from the cleanliness of the toilets,!!!! The toilets and their decorations and cleanliness would be better than a five star dining area!!
After lunch, relax by the fire and just watch the world go by, where new money mixes with old quite beautifully.
