We stopped in Tunica for the evening (it was planned). This was the evening in early December where there were terrible ice storms in the Tennessee and northern Mississippi areas. We drove through it all. Texas and Louisiana had heavy rains. Arkansas and Missouri had snow/ rain. Southern Illinois had all snow.
Anyways, this was the third casino we visited that night. Sam's Town restaurants were closed, and the Resorts Casino had a very limited buffet available. The Epic Buffet was a pretty good deal to us. I believe prices were $26.99 or $27.99 or something similar for a weekend evening dinner. I do remember filet mignon being served. Was pretty good, but not great. They had a pretty good dessert selection as well. Can't remember else much about the dinner selection, but we left full.
I can say that the servers were nice, and the executive chefs were very friendly. During a slow time, we had asked the chef some questions about desserts. He ended up saying he's from Aurora (a suburb of Chicago) and we told him we were returning to Chicago the next day. He was glad we enjoyed our food, and said he tries to make sure his customers leave happy and full.
I guess there are daily specials for breakfast and lunch in Tunica, so look online for specials and coupons online. For the buffet, I'll give it 3.75 stars. For the service, they get 4.5 stars.
