“Excellent Fried Chicken”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

This little restaurant has all of the Southern Home Cooking going on. Excellent place to eat, especially their fried chicken. We eat here 3 times during a 5 day stay in Tunica. The food is so delicious and the service is great too. We have no complaints.

“Southern Home cooking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

If you find the locals at a restaurant then you know you have found a great place to eat. We not only found the locals but the Tunica police department also seems to like this neat little bit of history ( it was an old Pure Oil station at one time, hence the name Blue and White). Food was super good (had blackened catfish, hush puppies, turnip greens) and large portioned. Recommend highly if you are in the area.

Waited and waited and waited. Finally left without our food. No apologies at all. Service was terrible.

“The real place to win big in Tunica.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

My husband and I had spent the night at Harrah's Tunica and were planning on going to Paula Deen's Buffet inside the casino, but decided against it at the last minute. A few miles down the highway we spotted the Blue and White and knew that we had to eat there because a.) the parking lot was full of duck hunters' trucks and b.) the decor exuded classic Southern diner. When we came in, our waitress immediately apologized because although they had everything else on the breakfast menu, they didn't have waffles. She offered us a doughnut appetizer for the "inconvenience" while we decided what to order. Any place that gives me a pre-breakfast before my real breakfast is a winner in my book. A short while after finishing our doughnuts (a nice glazed version made in-house, not too yeasty), our waitress came over with our ENORMOUS plates of food, including the 61 Hobo Breakfast for me and some crazy country ham concoction for my husband. We ate and ate and ate and enjoyed several cups of pretty decent fresh coffee. The staff was friendly and patient, and they took the time to suggest other stops of interest along our way to Jackson. The majority of the patrons there were regulars and were pretty friendly once I got over the fact that they were covered in mud from a morning of duck hunting. The Blue and White was by far the best breakfast I've had on the road in a very long time.
