We highly recommend Cottage Inn to travelers with pets. In the Tunica Resorts area only a few motels even accept pets, many have weight restrictions at 20 lbs. or less, require high non-refundable pet fees, and provide marginally clean rooms at best, and atrocious rooms at worst. We were so tired of the cruddy rooms at a couple of other area motels, that we had not gone to Tunica for quite a while, and decided to try another place. While Cottage Inn does have a pet fee, it is reasonable (10.00 per pet) and the rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. The grounds are nicely manicured and well lighted with paved pathways right to your cottage door. The beds have very comfortable Tempur-pedic mattresses. Each cottage has two guest rooms and they are much larger than typical motel rooms. Ours had two queen beds and we could've set up a card table and chairs in the space between the beds...very nice if you travel with a snorer. The micro fridge was quiet and nicely cold. A microwave is also provided. The in-room coffee maker was clean and the provided coffee is a name brand commercial coffee (Community) and was delicious. There is an ice machine within easy walking distance from the cottage. Each cottage has a closet with hangers and a luggage rack. The in-room television is Direct-TV so numerous channel choices are available...the picture was slightly "snowy" but it really didn't effect our viewing much, and generally, folks coming to a casino resort area aren't going to be watching much TV anyway. We had concerns after reading some of the negative reviews, so we called ahead and discussed them with the manager. He assured us we could make a reservation, and actually look at our room before being charged...if we weren't satisfied, there would be no problem with us cancelling on the spot. When we arrived, after meeting the nice managers, we felt no need to inspect room and checked in. While we were getting settled in the room, he was nice enough to phone our room to make sure we were happy with it. The carpet is well maintained, the bedspreads are typical motel fare but are clean without stains. The room has no offensive odors and no room deodorant seems to have been used to cover-up smells. We tend not to walk barefooted in any motel/hotel room, but this one was clean enough to be tempting. The A/C was quiet and effective. Each bed had its own nightstand/lamp...super nice when one wants to read without disturbing partner. We want to provide truth in this review, so we must say the rooms do show their age a bit. The towels are smallish for bath towels and there are only two sets of towels/cloths in the room...the soap/shampoo are off-brands...the ceramic tile area in the room had a crack running through it (not effecting it except esthetically) and the headboard/footboard in our cottage have seen better days. They do not provide a continental breakfast. If you are looking for a fancy, lux, trendy place to stay, you likely will not be happy here, but if you are traveling with your furry friend(s), it is ideal. Clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious with lovely grass. The price makes it a real bargain!
