“Great day out for the kids!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

Take the kids on the ferry to scienceworks for a great day out. Lots of interactive exhibits, and the journey across the water is a bonus attraction. It can also be accessed by car, or by train to Newport station.

Whoever dreamed up the idea of Scienceworks Museum needs a big pat on the back. It is amazing and always changing.

“Suitable for all ages”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

It is always very busy, particularly during school holidays. You are requested to book in advance for any special lectures or video.

I was a little disappointed that staff did not better control access to all of the devices. Certain devices were monoplogised by older children, even teenagers.

“Great exhibitions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

Well worth a visit, especially when speacial exhibitions are on. Plenty of parking. Best to take your own food and sit outside as the cafeteria does not serve too may healthy food options.

“Excellent entertainment for our son”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Our 5 year old son is mad for anything science related and loves all the hands on stuff

We easily spent a good 3 hours here going around all of the exhibitions and things you can do.

This really is a place for kids of all ages but best if you have under 13's in tow, will keep them amused for a long time.

It could be bigger but what is there is very good.
