If you are planning a getaway to the Memphis, Tn area, I would recommend staying at the Fairfield Inn.
From the moment we first entered the lobby through check out, we were treated to the best in customer service. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was clean. All emenitites worked. The lady working in the dining area was very pleasant and talkitive. She is a gem in the staff. Wish I got her name.
The staff were very knowledgeable about local eateries.They offered excellent recommendations for locally owned restaurants.
We will stay at this Fairfield Inn location on any future trip to the Memphis metro area

Went for Memphis in May BBQ festival....room was King Size, clean, had fridge, microwave, only complaint was water pressure...we had an excellent stay, front desk, breakfast lady, cleaning staff...all helpful, courteous, polite...Mario at the front offered to drive and pick us up from Interstate BBQ the first night, not knowing we had a car rented...cannot say enough about the 'Southern Hospitality' at its best....continental breakfast had waffles, pre made bacon egg sandwiches, porridge, grits, selection of cold cereals, bagels, tea coffee, juices etc. Enough to resist the IHOP across the street. Did not try the gym or pool as we were on a 'Memphis BBQ Tour' of our own and gave fitness a break for a few days.

I agree with most comments on this site. It was close to many restaurants, it was clean, non-smoking, and staff was friendly. However, when we arrived at the hotel at midnight after an event in town, I was disappointed in the beds. They looked to be comfortable, but the sheets were scratchy and the mattress was horrible! Not at all what I expected. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep. Not a great get-away from the kids when you can't rest! That was the only problem, however, a major one!

I was very concerned about finding a hotel that would be clean. This hotel was very clean, decorated nicely and above all, SMOKE FREE. The staff was courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast is more than adequate to get you going.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
