This hotel was a nice hotel, but the staff led us to decide to not stay at that hotel again. I don't usually write negative reviews but this one rated it in my book. My boyfriend drives a semi truck for his company and as such stays in numerous hotels. I help him out by finding him a hotel that can accommodate his semi truck on property. I utilize this website frequently to get reviews and will call and talk to front desk staff also. His preferred hotel of choice is Holiday Inn Express so that's always the first thing I am looking for. After a good hour of calling around and using the web, I choose this location based on what I found. I was told and he was told separately that they had truck parking. All was fine till he was up the hill/driveway in front of the hotel. There was no room what so ever for him to turn around the semi. There was a little lot next to this property that a truck could fit in but it was not a big enough space to really do this in. After 45 min of him trying to turn around (with assistance from the maintenance man) he gave up and proceeded to check in. I got to hear him vent and decided to call Customer Service for assistance. They contacted the hotel and was told that the manager would be back on property in 30 min and would help fix the problem. By the time I got there from 3 hours for a quick visit since I don't live near him, I totally understood what he had been dealing with. This hotel had NO business telling anyone that they had truck parking when clearly they didn't not.. When I saw the name of the manager on duty (Patel), I then understood what was going on from them. I am not against Indians at all. But in many cases have seen them tell guest what they want to hear to get their business. Of course that's not limited to that nationality, but hotels and Indians tend to be that way. We had a nice stay, till we were woken up by the kitchen staff banging around at 6:15 am. Upon arrival home I then found out that I had left my robe in the room and called them immediately and was told they would hold on to it till I could stop by to get it. I not sure about you, but I usually stay in hotels when I'm out of town away from my home. They (I heard the manager in the background) would send it to me at my expense then. Unfortunately I have left items in rooms before and they have always sent items back to me at their expense. I'm sure if someone wanted my repeat business they would bend over backward to accommodate their guest. My robe is nothing bulky but a short silk one that could fit in a 8x11 envelope and mostly like cost $3 to get to me. Please if I'm way off base could some one please tell me so. (oh I also talked with my friend who has been in the hotel management business for almost 30 years on this topic and said that I was correct in how I felt) All in all the hotel seemed fine but the treatment was enough to make me drop my overall rating.
