Although the restaurant is little more than a hole in the wall, the fried chicken is some of the best, spiciest chicken I've ever had. By spicy I mean heat, not so intense as to burn your lips or your mouth, but you do feel some heat from the assortment of pepper and spices in the coating. The meat itself is very moist and tender, and they offer 2- and 3-piece meals in all white or all dark, and the meals come with baked beans and cole slaw.
They have several alternative sides for $.50 extra including french fries, collard greens and mac and cheese.
Service was excellent, and even during lunch time I was seated immediately, and I had my 2-piece white (a wing and a breast) along with collard greens and mac & cheese in less than five minutes. Oh yeah, the meal also comes with a slice of white bread.
Soft drinks are $2.00 and come in a souvenir plastic cup, and they do offer several types of beer on hand.
For a signature dish that has been featured on many TV shows, this is one chicken dinner that's a winner winner! (with apologies to Guy Fierri of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives".)
