Living on the Mississippi Coast I guess I know a thing or two about oyster bars and this was the most awful one I've ever been to!!! The oyster's were warm and gritty, YUCK!!! We paid a $5 cover to see 5 minutes of a band outside on the deck, then they were off and some band played inside. We wanted to enjoy the atmosphere outside and they didn't even pipe music outside for the patron's their, I spoke with the manager who was VERY rude and obviously didn't care in the least that the people outside were complaining!! The only one who did care was out waitress who was very apologetic. If you want GREAT oyster's and atmosphere come to the Coast, obviously Jackson isn't quit as up to par as they would like to think they are at least not where good oyster are concerned! We know how to party on the Coast, you pay to see a band, you see a band!!

“A marina bar that serves food (or did someone already say that?)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2010

This is an honest bar where everybody knows your name, or should before the day is done since happy hour begins at 2PM. Friendly crowd, good service and interesting oyster combinations. We tried several plates; char grilled, steamed, and the Thomas (with Hollandaise & crabmeat). The Thomas was the best of the bunch. There ain’t no wine list, honey. Our waitress gave us the “you really aren’t from here” stare when I asked if they had a Sauvignon Blanc (which does really well with shellfish). They did have a Chard, however. It was a fun time and on their patio we learned how to truly listen from a gentleman at the next table named “Marty”.
