I make a trip back to Oxford at least twice a year and BBB is always on my list of stops. Although it's location can be a little hard to find/deceiving (it's located in a very quiet strip mall off the main drag of town), this place is nothing but special. Typically on weekends (starting friday mornings) you'll find a wait for a table. However, there are benches, tables and newspapers available outside and you can even get yourself a cup of coffee to wet your whistle while you're waiting. For me, this is all part of the experience. The restaurant itself reminds you of a classic diner crossed with your grandmothers kitchen. It's warm, homey and inviting. One of my favorite places to sit if you're flying solo or have a party of two is this to sit at the bar. Service seems to be faster over here and it's fun watching the wait staff and cooks do their thing. The service and staff is extremely friendly, accomodating and efficient. However, it is the food that really steals the show. The menu consists of standard breakfast favorites as well as more imaginative dishes. They use high quality, locally sourced ingredients and it is reflected in the quality of the food. Some of the menu highlights for me are the tomato gravy, anduoille sausage, and the "with signs following" breakfast sandwich (SO GOOD!) First timer's typically go for the "Big Bad Breakfast" plate which is a great way to get a little bit of everything. Oh and, the homemade jams are great too!
