I went there for Kenny Loggins' show and it was great on November 11. I was seated on the left balcony (seat 31) and head a great view of the scene and of all the audience. The inside of the theater is nicely decorated and the sound was great. I recommend this place for any kind of concert or show.
This was a enjoyable surprise. You're not expecting much when you go to a music event in Meridian. This old theater was rebuilt and returned to a condition that boasts of a past glory. We had main floor seating and there seemed to be a couple balconies. Don't think I'd care to sit up there. Otherwise Great event. Dining after the show was quite limited in the area around the building. A lot of the Old downtown needs a good sharp bulldozer.
Beautifully restored Grand Opra House! I've been to a few concerts here. This place is a beautiful 100+ year old Opra house that has been restored and remodeled for use as a modern day concert hall complete with meeting rooms and banquet rooms in its outer corridor.
The main hall, however, has been beautifully restored sparing no expense.
If you get a chance to attend an event here, don't pass it up.
The Riley Center is an old Opera House from the last century. It is a rare and awesome sight from yesteryear that should be seen if you visit Meridian, MS.
Love this theatre! Historically renovated opera house that has breathed life back into the downtown area of this town. The shows are entertaining and current.
