We have held our Family Reunion at Lake Tiak-O'Khata since I think 2000, we have it every other year. There are over 30 family members and we stay approx 3 days. We have always had good service and enjoy the facilities.

for what you pay for a cabin you would expect more. there was no room service of any sort ie no fresh towels or wash cloths the next day ( stayed two nights) the food was not up to standards and after paying 11.00 dollars for breakfast (not including the tip) i could have done without the burnt pancakes or over cooked sausage. over all my experience was not up to expectations. over all i would not recommend this resort for anyone.

Went to Lake Tiak O'Khata for a weekend-long meeting and were very pleased. We were in one of the hotel rooms - older, but very clean and comfortable. Meeting facilities more than adequate. Restaurant was surprising - we arrived in time for the Friday night seafood buffet. It was good, entrees were fresh and hot (especially the catfish), but the prime rib on the buffet was EXCELLENT. Had the rib eyes the next night, also very, very good. Breakfast buffet was the usual fare, but kept fresh and hot and plentiful. There don't seem to be a lot of activities locally that we saw, so plan on active days on the lake (swimming, canoeing, fishing) or just watching nature happen around the water (i.e., resting and doing nothing!). Will keep Lake Tiak O'Khata on our list of "getaways" for a long weekend.

We stayed in one of the cabins, and enjoyed it so much. We were their for the Sturgus Bike rally. The lake is beautifull, the sun setting was awesome. We ate at the lodge, the steaks were great. We are looking forward to going back.
