This hotel seemed great when I checked in: free airport shuttle, friendly and efficient front desk staff, free wi fi, comfortable bed, etc. However, I stayed in room 216 and what the staff neglected to tell me was that there would be live music directly below my room both nights of my stay. The band was so loud I could not get to sleep until they stopped playing at midnight (and with the time change from the east coast this was like 1am after a day of travel). I checked at the front desk to change rooms but they were full.

So in short, if you stay here be sure to ask if there will be live music in the bar, and if so and they try to put you on the second floor (or possibly the third, it was very loud), request a higher floor.

I selected the Hilton in Jackson, MS because it is located right off I-55 and it is close to shopping venues. The staff at this property is SUPER! Everyone I met greeted me with true Southern Hospitality and when I asked where something was located, they did not point to the location, they actually brought me! WOW is what I say.
The beds are very comfortable! I slept well.
The food is delicious; one staff member told me Luis Bruno is now on board with this Hilton, which is awesome!
The pool area is absolutely beautiful. I’m looking forward to return and spend the weekend out by the pool.

No one could find a finer place to stay in the Jackson, Mississippi area.
Everything is just what you would want it to be and the service is wonderful.

We got off on the 8th Floor of the Jackson Hilton for the gathering of "Sweet Potato Queens" for the annual St. Paddy's Day parade. When the elevator door opened, we were immediately greeted by what smelled like sewage. A prior customer's leftover, half-eaten room-service meal sat next to our door. I was relieved when we got to the room and it wasn't a total dump. The beds were pretty nice. The bathtub was rather down-on-its-heels and it had some sort of non-slip finish which looked grubby and would not inspire one to sit down for a bath. The biggest bathroom problem was getting towels and toilet paper. Maid service at this Hilton was minimal. In a three day stay we got one set of fresh towels, unfolded placed in a pile on our sink. Although the hotel was sold-out for the weekend, the restuarant wasn't open and the only food available was at a very crowded bar or through room service. A small cup of coffee was $3.50. Most drinks were $10.00. Pretty over-priced considering the quality of the hotel.
