We went to the zoo on a Tuesday, not many others were in the facility which was great for us.
The entrance gate workers seemed more interested in engaging in their personal conversation than talking to incoming patrons. The facility its self was extremely small... this may be because I lived in Texas for many years and visited larger zoos like the Dallas, TX zoo. The animal house that is to the left upon entrance was lacking however our little one enjoyed the prairie dogs and the ground bubbles to view them; however, the entrances and space for the ground bubbles was extremely too small for an small adult to go in with a child. The a/c'ed areas with water displays were wonderful, as well as the outside water sprintzers. A zoo worker walking the grounds told us a out the splash pad, which our toddler loved...luckily we had our luggage w extra clothes in our vehicle so he could change. Loved this part of the zoo. Parking... was soooo close to entrance... I was amazed, again bc in Dallas it seemed you had to a mile from parking to enter facility.
