Great gift shop featuring works by Mississippi artists.
Admission is free with many exhibits and demonstrations by craftspeople during the year.
Summer craft camps are offered for a fee.
Spend a lot or small amount of time and look for that special Mississippi souvenir!

“Only 5 miles from Jackson (not 55!) and great arts & crafts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

Stopped in here to find a thank you/birthday gift for a good friend. Was impressed with the variety of jewelry, pottery, ceramics, concrete, fibers, wood, gourds, and glassware! Found an amazing wood burned gourd bowl for my friend, priced at $75. Some items might seem expensive, but remember these are hand made items by local artists and nothing is made in China! Would certain come here again looking for a perfect gift for friend, wedding or hostess.

“Great place to wander around and learn something”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2011

Actually located in Ridgeland, a Jackson suburb, just off the Natchez Trace Parkway. Various craftspeople are there during the week and on Saturday to demonstrate their particular skills: quilting, spinning, weaving, blacksmithing, glass blowing, wood carving, pottery making, basket weaving... all kinds of crafts. Depending on the day you visit you might see quite a selection of them at work. Even if they're not there, you can see their products on display and in the gift shop for purchase. The Center also teaches various workshops on crafts and sponsors community craft events.
