“Avoid the Kitchen”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2010

There is a hotel worker named Lisa who orders people around the breakfast area in the morning. I have stayed here a few times and she is rude and runs the breakfast area like boot camp.

I will be looking for another hotel for us to stay at on our next trip. The staff has forgotten that we are guests and I certainly would not treat guests in my home the way that this staff does.

We stayed at this Sleep Inn and truly enjoyed our stay. The price was great, the room was clean and quiet. The amenities are very good at this motel for this economy type lodging. The free full hot breakfast was great complete with ham and cheese omelets, bacon, waffles, toast, cereals, fruits, juices, muffins, etc. The evening hor'derves(sp...sorry) buffet was not so great but the effort was much appreciated. A business center with free internet and printing is also available. The only thing we didn't like was the room we stayed in was very small with a feeling of little privacy when using the shower and facilities. The staff was nice with the exception of one person at checkout who bordered on being dis-courteous and seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. She did not say thank you when we paid and were leaving. Other than that, I highly recommend this motel and will stay again in the future.

We had the best treatment by the staff at this hotel. They were wonderful. Rooms were
very clean. Very conveniently located near restaurants, shopping and Graceland.
Close to Memphis.

Ive been here twice now, Nothing special however they take care of their facility. For the price, location and helpful staff the stay was well worth it. I enjoyed this hotel, and plan on returning again. The hotel staff is always very very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Thank you, happy hotel hunting.

I worked as a contractor in the motel industry for 6 yrs and found the Choice chain to be the best value across the country!
We stay in Choice motels exclusively and have had only one bad experience in the last 5 yrs. We recently stayed in a Quality Inn( see my review in June) in Tucumcari,NM and thought we were in paradise! But the Sleep Inn in Horn Lake sets the standard for all Choice motels.
The desk clerks (especially D) and Mr Ceratto the general manager went way above and beyond to assist us with our stay. The rest of the staff from maintenance, housekeeping and the breakfast service treated everyone as if we were family.
The rooms were fresh, clean and spacious. Also inexpensive for the area.

One of the friendliest staff i've ever seen....everyone from the desk clerks to the people emptying garbage cans smiled and spoke to us. We had a king bed which was very comfortable. There is a coffeemaker with 8 packs of coffee(4 reg, 4 decaf), hairdryer, frig, even a safe...although $1.50 was added to our bill for the safe even though not used, it was nice to know it was there. My only beef is that I love baths and there was just a shower, even though it was a nice shower...bathroom kinda small. Standard soap, lotion etc supplied...even the toilet paper had that fancy triangle point on it like the more expensive places. Free breakfast bar options include coffee, juice, cereal, muffins, biscuits, sausage gravy, bagels, creamcheese, fresh fruit salad, toast, etc. Will stay again here!

We arrived late and the hotel looked nice from the outside, also the lobby was clean. We checked in, went to our room, noticed a slight smell of pet urine (it's a non pet hotel), then noticed something on my shoe, it was a flea (found more in the morning). It was extremely late and we were tired, so we decided to stay it out. We informed the front desk clerk upon check out and she told us there was no way because they didn't allow pets. I assured her it was fleas and she once again told me I was wrong. Funny, I thought I knew what a flea looked like. So, if you like fleas, it's a great place to stay, otherwise move on.
