I truly hate having to review tonight's dinner; however I think it is only fair to the owner's Natalya, and Chris. Especially being that the last two experiences was just as bad. We just thought they were having a bad night. We didn't want to believe the quality of the food was being compromised.
Tonight, our families dinner consisted of the chicken crepes with steamed vegetables and rice pilaf and philly steak hoagie with au jus dip and sweet potatoe fries. The issue were
(1) the au jus dip was tasteless. It was hot water with a beef bullion cube on the bottom of cup.
(2) the beef in the hoagie had no flavor
(3) the chicken in the creeps was large chunks and tasted like it came right out the can.
Definitely not Chef Chris's. He would never send something like that out to a customer. He always seemed to have a sense of pride about the dishes he prepared. The chicken was always diced into bite size and full of flavor all wrapped up in a thin crepe covered with a sauce that when you were finished you wanted to lick the plate not leaving any of that goodness to go to waste.
(4) the steamed vegetables were cooked to mushiness.
(5) the rice pilaf over cooked
Needless to say we all left with food left on our plates and wondering where is the chef we loved to come visit over the years?
I give two stars due to the quality of the food, and customer service could use improvement. A simple smile would do, or was everything alright, or maybe thank you for coming, something, anything. So disappointed...we really loved this place.
