“Like a Bed & Breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

We checked in after running as fast as we could from the LaQuinta next door. Traveling with 2 dogs your choices are limited and lucky for us they were very accommodating.(with a fee) The atmosphere of the hotel is friendly and quaint. There is a nightly happy hour and a front porch with rocking chairs to relax on. The room was good for 1 night clean and comfortable.

This Review is based on a ONE Day Stay (Business Travel) for ONE Person/One Bed Accomodation;

Hotel was right off from Hwy going through town; so it wasn't hard to find....during Check-In, time of Stay and Check-Out, the Staff was very Helpful & Pleasant to deal with (remember, treat how You wish to be treated); I had NO issues at the Hotel, but I'm sure they are more than accomodating when hiccups may arise.

The room was VERY Spacious; Bed was VERY Comfortable and Room was Clean....My Room Location was requested, and the Hotel FOLLOWED Thru on My request.....even with being close to Hwy 49, the Hotel was set back enough, to where Hwy traffic, did NOT affect My Rest....

for being a Traveler of 11 months out of a Year, this is the type of Travel I deal with Mostly; staying in a Hotel for a brief period of Time.....Hotel-Hopping as I call it, to where I'm in 6 to 10 Hotel's per Month, so to have a VERY Relaxing, Comfortable and Spacious Room are a Bonus !!!

I would stay here again, if I came through here again!

Hope this Review Helps!
ENJOY YOUR TRAVEL's !!!

The front desk clerk was friendly and personable even though we were her last check in for the nite. The room was clean and hotel was quiet despite being full and very busy! Good stay for the price. Cracker Barrel was close by but hotel does offer good sausage and biscuits! Newspaper and coffee too!

Recently stayed here and was very disappointed with service. Most of the staff was helpful and nice, but the maintenance guy was mean spirited and plain nasty. He openly disrespected the desk manager in front of customers. This is unacceptable and unlike the typical southern hospitality Mississippi folks are accustomed to. Simple requests for items any hotel would supply quickly like extra pillows or ashtrays were treated like you were asking for the impossible. Door slamming was going on all evening and current road construction made it hard to get in and out of the place due to the center turn lane being barricaded for a mile on each side of the entrance. No elevators for the second floor. WiFi was not available during the stay either. Will not consider staying there again.

Room Tip: Pick another hotel.

This is a bit of an odd little place. The hotel is laid out in several buildings, but to my knowledge, the buildings aren't marked, per se, so if someone tells you you're in building one, you really have no idea which is building one. While the staff and management seem to be going for Southern hospitality (e.g., rocking chairs on the porch, free cocktail hour), the atmosphere is strangely cold. The rooms were just adequate. We had requested a king room on the first floor but were given a second floor room with two double beds. As there is no elevator, we re-requested and got a first floor king room, but this one was ADA compliant. O.K., we can live with that. But the internet connection, when we finally got online, lasted for about one hour, then no more internet all night and the following morning. It wasn't a terrible place, by any means, and, as I said, it was adequate, but I think I'll try somewhere else next time I'm in Hattiesburg, which will probably be next year about the same time.

I stayed here for 3 weeks in May while attending training at Camp Shelby. I loved the 3x free cocktails/drinks every evening from 5-7 M-Th. The breakfast every morning was also great. The staff was outstanding and super friendly. The only issue I had was that the A/C in my room didn't work very well at all. I had to purchase 2 fans just to keep from sweating while just sitting in the room. Maintenance worked on the A/C twice, but said it was on it's last leg. I was offered a different room, but since I was going to be there for 3 weeks, I liked the location of this one and decided to suck it up. Since I was going to be there so long, the maid only came 1 time per week, which I thought was a little strange. But I think it was because of this that they were able to have such low rates.
