We stopped at Leatha's on our way to New Orleans to see Bama play in the Sugar Bowl (Rollllllll Tide!) My husband and I shared the 1/2 chicken plate with baked beans and the special recipe slaw, which was a little sweet, a little mustardy, but not as spicy as the jailhouse or pool room slaw we are accustomed to at home. The portions were huge, the tea was sweet, and the chicken was falling off the bone delicious! If you are looking for a fancy place, Leatha's isn't it. But, if you are looking for some down home, slow cooked deliciousness, it's a must stop!
