This was the second time that I stayed at the Muthaiga Safari Camp/Black Leopard Camp (www.muthaigasafaricamp.it) between 2010 and 2012. The first time that I stayed at the Camp, I was travelling with my partner. We had a truly amazing experience. As we always like to return to the same place (there is not need to change if loved It), I decided to bring my family (parents, brother and wife, 2 kids: 7 people in total including myself) while they were visting me in Kenya during last August 2012. I personally did not expert that our stay would be so memorable and even better than the first time. The rooms are absolutely lovely: spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable: it was so difficult to leave the bed in the morning even though we knew that we could not miss the amazing Masai Mara. The food is just increbile. I love to cook and eating well is not negotiable. The breakfast was extremely well prepared and we’ll never forget how lovely it was to sip a nice cup of coffee with a croissant under an Acacia tree while witnessing the migration. Truly remarkable. The same shall be said for the lunch in the bush. Another unique feature of the Camp is that you may leave early in the morning (prior to the sunrise) and return at the camp around sunset. We loved the fact that you can actually spend the whole, day at the Mara admiring the landscape and the animals without going back and forth from and to the hotel (like too many places at the Mara tend to impose onot their clients). The sundowners were the perfect end of the day. It was really fabolous to sit around a lovely fire, admire the stars, drink a glass of wine and recount the marvels witnessed during the day. All my family members and I will always remeber our stay at the Muthaiga Safari Campa s on eone the greatest moments of our lives together. Thank you Elisabetta, Leonard and all the staff for your incredibile and impeccabile help. You’re just amazing. WE WILL BE BACK SOON!!
