“Rude Staff and Nasty Room”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2011

The room was nasty and had flies every where...we took our children out to the pool area and was then questioned by staff if we had a room or not... when we replied that we had a room they said ok but told us that we had to pay for a broken table that was beside the garbage can...the table was broken when we entered the pool area. When i asked if there was a manager to talk to I was told no. I told the man that I thought he was being rude and that my child didnt break the table but I would be happy to pay for it anyway. Needless to say we checked out after only 3 hours and took our buissness else where.. My husband and I travel through out the year and have never had anything like this happen was very disappointed...

I came into Corinth from Alabama for a one night stay traveling through and was pleasantly pleased. The front desk staff was knowledgeable of the area and encouraged me to try a really quaint locally owned pizza restaurant and it was wonderful. The price was about 20 dollars cheaper than other hotels in town that were newer looking but not worth the extra $. The room was clean and had just enough amenities to be comfortable. The breakfast was excellent: waffles, sausage, gravy, and even sugar free items for me! I will definitely stay again and I know I will enjoy it.

When I checked in the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room seemed to be in very good condition. I read the other reviews and didn't notice anything missing, or wall paper being half torn off the wall. The WiFi was really fast compared to other Comfort Inns. The hot breakfast was amazingly good. There are restaurants and gas stations near by in walking distance which made the stay more easier to get food and any other items. I will definitely come back here!

This hotel is definitely not up to the standards we have come to expect from Comfort Inns.
The furnishings and room interior are run down and worn out. There are multiple damaged areas and holes in the walls. Part of the bathroom mirror is falling off the wall. The bathtub is damaged and doesn't appear to have been cleaned. The carpet is stained, and lamps etc. are dusty. Our room is on the lower level near a garden area with poor drainage so the room smells damp and musty. The exterior area near the room has trash and dirt on the sidewalk.

We asked for a room with two beds. The only other option, besides this room, that we were given was a room under the stairway, even though there were clearly lots of empty rooms in the hotel. The front desk clerk didn't appear to have information about the room
configuration, and wasn't interested in finding a suitable room for us.

In short, our experience with this stay is very disappointing!!

I could see why the reviews of this hotel are mixed. The staff was friendly, and breakfast was quite decent. However, the rooms really need to be renovated. They are at the stage where they just don't look clean, probably regardless of how much cleaning is done. They weren't the worst rooms we have ever stayed in, but we were ready to get out of there in the morning. The carpet was worn, there were screws coming out of the towel rack over the toilet, and the bathtub had been patched one too many times.

Checked in and went to our rooms and could not believe how dirty they looked. You did not feel safe in the parking lot, much less the rooms. The paper was peeling from the walls, pictures were missing, the door did not look secure. Needless to say we were afraid to touch anything in the room. We immediately went back to front desk and cancelled our reservations, went across the street and got rooms in a hotel not listed in AAA travel book and were extremely pleased with rooms and check in staff.

Redeemed points here last night.

Check-in clerk was very warm and welcoming. Coffee/hot water in lobby.
Got a king suite. Large room with chair, sofa bed, desk, king bed, wardrobe, etc. Sofa and chair stained. Carpet a little grungy.
Wallpaper coming off wall in shower. Light fixture missing in bathroom. Bedspread was a little worn.

Bed sheets themselves were clean and the bed was comfortable. Slept well.

Only bath amenties were shampoo and lotion (no conditioner) and soap.

Breakfast was hot with waffles, biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, fruit cocktail, toast, etc.

The staff is very friendly and tries hard, but the property needs attention and some repairs to bring it up to even a Quality Inn standard.

Next time I'd try the Econolodge across the street for the same price.
