I do a fair amount of travel professionally, and use Trip Advisor regularly to pick places to stay. When I read the reviews that had been posted previously about this hotel, I was more than a bit wary, but since my business associates had booked my room already, I stayed at this hotel. My experience was nothing of what others had posted. Granted, this isn't the big city, but I found the hotel to be more than adequate and the staff to be friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The bedding was fine (slept great for the three nights I was there), the carpet was brand new, and the linens were fine. Nothing to complain about, unless you demand a flat-screen tv instead of an older tube model. But they had a full lineup of cable channels. The breakfast was much better than I expected. Not the same as a resturant, but it was fine. Waffles you make; scrambleld eggs; hard boiled eggs, cheese cubes, sausage, bacon, toast, cereal, etc. etc. They keep a big bowl of fruit in the lobby for everyone to take anytime of the day along with fresh coffee. The pool was out of service, but I wasn't really interested in using it. They did say they would have it fixed and back in service soon. I asked the manager about the less-than-great postings about his hotel, and he said that they were all old and that he had worked hard to improve the facility and to give their customers a pleasant experience. I would say that they have definitely done that. Overall, I was pleased with the stay and would definitely stay there again.
