An ideal blend is made up of equal parts exploring the gorgeously raw blues country and cotton fields and returning to the refined Lofts at the Five and Dime every night. The commodious Lofts offer every comfort imaginable, from full kitchens and bath-and-a-half rooms to washer-dryers and marble showers. We couldn't believe our good luck at finding the modern luxury of the Lofts in the middle of down-home Clarksdale. Coming back to the cool Lofts after a day spent canoeing on the Mississippi with John Ruskey or wandering through Roger Stolle's (producer of "M for Mississippi" DVD) Cat Head art and music store before heading over to Ground Zero blues nightclub was pure heaven. The Lofts' owner-manager Kinchen "Bubba" O'Keefe embodies Southern hospitality at its best. You'll be thrilled you chose to stay at the Lofts and wish you'd planned on spending more time in Clarksdale.
