“Modern, comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

This motor inn was very modern with large comfortable rooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were flying out the next morning, and this motor inn was convenient to the airport.

Stayed 1 night before flying back to NZ. The room was really lovely, clean and confortable.
Our hostess Pamela was outstanding. Very friendly and informative.Provided extra towels when we got drenched running from station to motel. Love the dog "Patch".Would highly recommend this place to stay.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back of the complex. Never heard traffic at all.

We stayed here to watch the footy at the MCG. Easy access off the new freeway into the old Hume Highway. 200m to the nearest train station (Gowrie station), which is on the Upfield line and includes the Melbourne Zoo and Brunswick on it's line. Fantastic rooms and there is also a playground behind the motel that reception has a key for the gate. Off street parking, and up the road is supermarkets, a child friendly pub and discount toy store. Trip to centre of Melb by train took approx 35 mins.

Room Tip: pick a room that does not face onto the street

Stayed one night before our flight out the next morning. The staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. The room was a bit outdated - we don't really care, just care it is clean and it was very clean. Nice big window to let in lots of light. We requested a room on the back of the hotel to avoid road noise. Very handy to the train - just a couple of minutes walk away to get directly to the city centre. We didn't use the restaurant at all. Decent price for the area - the area is a mix of commercial and residential, not much around for restaurants, etc. It didn't matter as we spent all our time in the city sightseeing and eating. It was a nice place to lay our heads for one night.

Reception staff extremely helpful. Room was a nice size. Probably a bit outdated with decor but overall nice and clean so cant complain. Not much around in terms of eating and drinking but there's a train stop 5 mins down the road and takeaways are delivered to your door. Very cheap room rate at $95 a night so excellent value.

Stayed at this Hotel because of position to family. Our room was fine with a comfortable bed. Service from Relief Management was very helpful and friendly. Our standard room had a window unlike the other reviewer. Cooked breakfast arrived on time each morning and was as ordered.

Just stayed here and the place is way below average.
I stay in hotels at 8-10 nights a months for work and this is possibly the worst i have stayed in for the last 12 months.
To start with the room doesnt even have a window in the main part of the room (however it has a skylight that cant be shut so you are awake with the birds and a small bathroom window) and this is suppose to be the Better room ???????
Secondly the dinner was not good at all. I ordered the steak, salad and chips and the salad consisted of 3 half cherry tomatoes and some wilted lettuce. Thats all!!!!! The steak was requested medium and was in fact WELL PAST well done. The chips however were nice. But for $30 i want more than some nice chips. OH, AND THEY CHARGED ME $6 FOR ROOM SERVICE!!!!!!!!!
The TV remote control was the dirtiest one i have EVER SEEN and it was also not the right one for the TV so it didnt work so i had to manually change the TV controls.
The bed was fairly good and is ok for a nights stay.
Really dont get why there arent bad reviews for this place on here. Take my word for it, Stay somewhere else!!!!!!

Room Tip: if your going to stay here, chose the basic rooms as they at least have a window!!!!!!!!
