“room really nasty this time”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Weere there 2/12/2013, room was not that bad, This time end of feb. girl gave ius the worst room ever, Stains on the chair UGH_ really dirty rug, just Horrible.
We got a room rate of 39.00 and a 50,00 landrys card. The girl tried her hardest not to give it to us. Their was supoervisor there and we had the e mail that was sent so she had no choice.
Asked for King, got 2 queens, DO U REALLY THINK THEY WERE FULL????? I think NOT!
with all the renovations going on to put up with it was an acceptable room rate and the 50.00
was like them paying us to stay, Had trouble with payment, used a diff card to hold the rooma a separate card to pay. Had to call but it got taken care of, This time did not get a call asking how the room was. The girl we will call her (K) needs to go back for training in customer service. Hopefully The Golden Nigget will get rid of all the old DEAD BEATS and bring in some new blood that wants to work

Room Tip: If you dont get a cheap rate- go some where else!!!

we found the Isle casino and hotel to be in a big state of flux due to it's recent acquisition by the Golden Nugget. There is much to be done to repair the run-down appearance of both the exterior and interior of the hotel. There is outdoor construction maintenance going on that restricts parking to a nearby garage and forcing guest to walk a bridge to the actual hotel entrance. The checkin process was okay but not snappy. The room was clean and comfortable, but the furniture is old and worn. This would not be seen in a good 3 star caliber hotel. Very satisfactory, but not elegant. The buffet food and service is very poor in comparison with the other casino hotels in the area. The booths are old and worn and have the upholstery torn. This is unsightly and quite unacceptable for a respectable establishment. The staff appears unmotivated and possibly dispirited in the way they talk to you and only perform minimal tasks. Not much service with a smile here. The casino is unattractive and not at all put together in a general sway as other casinos are. This place is not much fun to gamble in compared with other casino floors like the Hard Rock, beau Rivage (best in Biloxi) or across the street at the Palace casino. The outlook is optimistic in that a major established casino empire like the Golden Nugget would not tolerate the condition or operation that is the Isle Casino today.

Room Tip: The hotel has no laundry service available to guests, so bring enough clothes to complete your stay...

Stopped at this Hotel in Biloxi Mississippi. It was a little off the strip, but really enjoyed it. The Casino area was dated and not very attractive, however, it appeared that the hotel is getting a face lift and the casino seems to be the last on the list. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and well appointed, other than the older televisions The only problem I experienced was loud slamming of the room doors. The doors are metal with metal frames, if you allow them to slam, the entire room shakes. You multipy that 10 or 20 times when you are trying to sleep and you get the picture. There was extremely limited eating areas. The buffet was good, but probably not worth the 15.99 price tag associated with it. There was only one other restaurant on site that was open, I went in for breakfast which was extremely average, and even though there was only 4 other people in the restaurant, I was waiting just shy of 40 minutes for my meal. I found that I had no trouble walking to the Grand Casino and the Palace Casino from the Isles. All the casinos seem to be quite some distance from each other, however, there is a tram for $1.25 per trip which I thought was kind of cheesy. You go to these casinos to spend money, however, you pay 1.25 to get there. Overal, I liked the Hotel and got a great rate for the 2 days that I was there.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the Gulf, its a beautiful view

We went and received a new card at the players club and were told if we reached 10 points on our card we could get a free buffet. We each did have 10 points and went to the buffet. There were 2 girls at the buffet who unformed us we did not have enough points We told her we did and she very rudely told us to go over and print our coupons which we did. We were then informed these coupons were not for the buffet and sent us to the players club. The lady there very rudely told us that it was 3:55 and the lunch buffet was over at 4:00 and we could come back all next week. We were leaving the next day. Nowhere on their poster nor was it explained at the players club that we could only get the lunch buffet at a certain time. We then handed our cards back as we will never set foot in the Isle. The employes there need an attitude adjustment and a lesson in customer service.

The hotel rooms look like they haven't been updated since the 1970's, carpets are stained and disgusting, the staff has been very unfriendly and the "casino" is a joke, they have a lot of newer slots and a large table area but they aren't operational!!! The old slots all crammed into a small space on the second floor are currently being swapped out for new machines that also aren't operational , the six gaming tables are crammed together in a small area upstairs along with the tightest slots in biloxi. This is our first visit to this hotel, please don't make the same mistake we did, you would be better off renting a place in Alabama and driving everyday that staying here
