We enjoyed the courtyard and the huge oak tree with the whimsical characters around it. It is amazing jhow it has been kept all these years.

The house sits on property once owned by Jean Baptiste carquotte, who received a land grant from the Spanish government in 1784. Saved from neglect by Biloxi's garden clubs in the 1950's, the house is now owned by the City of biloxi and operated as a historic house museum and community gathering place." If you are into historical sightings and tours, it is an inexpensive way to spend a historical outing.
Oldest building in Biloxi, near the casinos so if not pulling the slot machine handles, a walk around downtown Biloxi can be enjoyed.
