“Beyond our Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

Traveling from New Orleans in Route to Destin, FL we stopped over at the Grand Biloxi. I realize that Sunday night is probably a slow night, but the room/suite we got was over the top. It was a corner unit with a huge living room, grand sized bedroom with views to the gulf and to the west. The bathroom was larger than my kitchen - equipped with a walk-in granite shower and opposite side had a huge garden tub. All this for essentially a std room I cannot say enough for the quality of stay. Simply fantastic!

My wife and I had two comped rooms at the Grand. The indoor parking garage was free and we were able to park near the entrance. At check in the hostess was very professional and friendly. We had a room on the 6th floor with a beautiful view of the gulf across the street. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. The room included a safe which I always find handy. WIFI in the room cost $12, can't believe that some hotels still charge for this. Used cell phone for internet instead. The casino seemed very small with older machines, but my wife and I enjoyed it anyway. Actually walked out a little ahead. If you are energetic, one can walk to two more casinos, but as others have said the is a casino hopper available. We drove down the Beach Blvd and still amazed by the empty property from Katrina. They are still in the process of building back.

casino is a bit small compared to others in the area, but very playable. room was clean (every day) with nothing missed. Pool area was very nice, but it was a bit too cool to use it. would come back and stay here anytime, stayed three nights.

The rooms are nice and the beds were very comfortable. Like having a coffee pot and a room safe.. Employees were very friendly and helpful. If you're going to gamble, the casino is very small and the machines are extremely tight. Didn't see anyone really winning in the 3 days we were there. We certainly didn't either. We play video poker and it was extremely difficult to get 4 of a kind on any game. I must say we got to Vegas and casinos in AZ and the machines are much more "friendly". The service was slow in the Hotel Lobby Bar and the breakfast buffet could be improved. Will not stay again.

There is no shuttle from the airport to the Grand Biloxi. We had to take a taxi and were charged $52 for the ride! Seeing this was our first time in Biloxi and we were not familiar with the area, the driver took the long way to make an extra buck. The return trip to the airport was $30, a little more reasonable, but still too expensive. Be careful when taking a cab and get a price up front. The hotel staff was courteous and check in was quick and efficient. The hotel itself is nice, the rooms are comfortable and clean, but this is not an upscale resort. The pool was closed for renovations so we couldn't use it despite the fantastic weather. The casino is small but machines were always open and the drink waiters were readily available. Pay out was so-so. We did well on the first night, then lost. The buffet was surprisingly excellent and reasonably priced. The casino hopper bus stops right outside the door and for $1.25 you can ride to one of the other casinos. Took a ride up to the Beau Rivage and enjoyed it very much.

We stayed two nights and our rooms were comped, so it was worth it. If they start running a shuttle to the airport again we'll be back.

I enjoyed my stay at the Grand.
The pool area was closed while we were there but it did not matter as a cold front had passed through so we would not have been able to enjoy it anyway.

The beds are comfortable and the room was clean and well maintained. There is a coffee maker and safe in the room for you to use.

It's not as fancy as the Beau Rivage or IP. But with our total rewards card discount, you couldn't beat the price. I would have paid over twice the price to stay elsewhere and we were not in our room a lot anyway.

I did go to the breakfast buffet; The service was great but the food was terrible. Was not worth the price. Beau Rivage has a better breakfast buffet. The IP has a better seafood buffet also.
The lattes at the coffee shop was good however and the bartender at the sports bar was great.

My husband goes for the gambling and I go for the pampering. :) The Grand Biloxi has all of that at one location which works well for us. A great outdoor pool with a huge hot tub spa for use into the night. The rooms are nicely updated and very comfortable. We had an end room which allowed for a little extra room than the regular rooms and that was just an added perk.

I also liked that there was a decent fitness center on site. It's connected to the spa, but any hotel guest can use it. We'll be back!
