“Great Value & NO SMOKING!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

This was our first trip to the Palace and we've stayed at a lot of the other locations around Biloxi. If you're looking for the most luxurious hotel/casino in Biloxi then this isn't you're place. If you're looking to get a great deal then you've found your place. The rooms may be somewhat outdated, and I understand that they are next on the list of improvements, the non-smoking more than makes up for it. As non-smokers, we usually wear the same clothes for each trip into the casino. and keep them away from the rest of our wardrobe during our stay. Here you can wear the same and not smell like you've smoked a carton yourself. Also, not having that annoying person with a cigarette sit down next to you while plaing, usually just when you start winning, sure was nice. We even ended staying one extra night, cancelling our plans to move for a couple of nights elsewhere. We did not use any of the resturants on site. We're not much for gouging ourself's with over priced buffets. There are many options available where you can eat for 2 (Logan's) for what one dinner buffet cost and that goes for all of the casino buffets, not just the Palace's. Breakfast at a Waffle House isn't as bad as you may think, especially the one in D'lberville on the north side of I-10. We just don't gamble enough to get any deep discounts, that's not the casino's fault, it's just how we choose to play. The rooms could use the usual upgrades. Tv, no hd here, mattress & pillows need upgrading as does the decor and the bath is also outdated. The in-room internet is top notch. In-room safe is also something that we like very much. No noisy A/C here, though you may get to hear you're neighbors conversations sometimes. Just, remember this place was nearly wiped out just a few short years ago and they probably have struggled just to get the place up and running again. Casino and appearance of the rest of the place is on par with most other casino's. We did go looking for the pool and it can be quite a trip, kind of like a small adventure. But I believe that they did the best they could under the circumstances they had. We found the casino a little tight, and a little smaller than some of the others. But, in some ways it is better this way. I challenge any Biloxi casino to serve drinks faster than the Palace does while you are playing. We did spend 2 nights earlier in the week at the competition, twice I ordered a drink and never saw the waitress again, and I was still playing the same machine! It was also nice to see security once in awhile in the parking lot walking around and not riding in a car. We also saw security walking our floor on a couple of ocassions. Oops, maybe they we're watching us. Just nice to see somebody and not just assume the property is safe away from the casino. Not 100% sold on the parking garage though, seems to be a little dark and grim at night, so we stayed away from it. We found the staff top notch, from the valet's to the front desk to the casino waitresses, we experience no problems. Read the other reviews and make up your mind for yourself. Keep and open mind and believe me you can make a lot worse pick than staying at the Palace. I just know that we'll be back in the fall.

Room Tip: Ask to go high and get a great view!

Love the non-smoking policy of the new Palace. Perfect place to get all dressed up, have a wonderful evening and not have to hang clothes on the deck to air out overnight ;)

Went into Mignons on Saturday night about 8ish. Advised they were out of Beef Wellington appetizer, disappointed, but moving on, then advised, out of Lump Crabmeat, out of Lobster, out of.... WAIT - why is this so difficult?

Apparently casino gave high rollers $100. free food comp the night before and EVERYone ordered the high ticket items (surprise?).
GREAT that the casino is willing to give it away to those who spend big money - BUT very disappointing for the couple willing to pay for an experience on hubby's birthday.

We were told we'd "have a better shot if we came in on Wednesday because that's when the order is to arrive"!!!!
Suggestion:
1) F&B manager should coordinate with Players Club when buying/forecasting?
2) If you're going to dinner on any evening but WEDNESDAY, reservation or walk in - ASK what food items are available and plan accordingly.

Please accept my sincere apology for not having all of our menu items available on your recent visit to Mignon’s.

We strive to use only the freshest ingredients available to us, and the majority of our menu items are not previously frozen.
This dedication to quality means that occasionally we may run out of an ingredient during peak business times.

Our chef has agreed to review his inventory levels and adjust accordingly as business merits.

I do hope you choose to visit Mignon’s Steaks and Seafood again very soon.

We really enjoyed the no smoking policy. The reason I booked this hotel was due to the no smoking and good rates. The casino and lobby was very nice but smaller than most of the other casinos in the area. The rooms are outdated and should be updated and remodeled. Better rates than the other casinos but but the rooms could be nicer.

Thanks for visiting the Palace Casino Resort, we are happy you stayed with us and glad you enjoyed our 100% smoke free property. We were one of the first resorts to reopen after the storm and recently completed a major expansion project. The next phase is a renovation and update to all our hotel rooms. Things just keep getting better at the Palace Casino Resort and you can always count on smiling faces and friendly greetings. We hope to see you again.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations when we reserved our room for $79/night! I was greeted with a glass of champagne and a fruit platter. Our room was nice and the hotel was smoke free! This made our casino experience much more enjoyable! We also enjoyed a day at the pool which was beautiful. Lastly, we enjoyed a meal at the steakhouse. I have to eat gluten free and chief willingly accommodated my dietary needs. Overall, we had a great stay at the Palace Casino and would love to return back.

We selected a room at the Palace Casino Resort on our trip across country from reviews on TA. We're not gamblers, but loved being close to the coast, smoke-free and great value for the night. Check in was very easy, but we were treated like we've been here before even after I mentioned it was our first visit. We had a rental car so we didn't want anyone else driving it. I had to ask where to park. Note: if you park in the garage you have to walk through the casino with your luggage to get to the elevator (which a customer helped us to locate). When we got to the room there was no info on pool (location, hours, etc) meals, etc. We found the pool by ourselves as it's way out of the way, then walked by the dinner buffet $22 each for midweek, ouch - we decided to go elsewhere. Overall good value for a night's stay. Clean and quiet room! And smoke-free!

We stayed there 2 nights in March, it was our first trip to Biloxi. If you are a nonsmoker you will love this place, clean, the entire casino is nonsmoking-we lost money but at least we lost money without having to deal with smokey air and smoke filled clothes.
