This was our first trip to the Palace and we've stayed at a lot of the other locations around Biloxi. If you're looking for the most luxurious hotel/casino in Biloxi then this isn't you're place. If you're looking to get a great deal then you've found your place. The rooms may be somewhat outdated, and I understand that they are next on the list of improvements, the non-smoking more than makes up for it. As non-smokers, we usually wear the same clothes for each trip into the casino. and keep them away from the rest of our wardrobe during our stay. Here you can wear the same and not smell like you've smoked a carton yourself. Also, not having that annoying person with a cigarette sit down next to you while plaing, usually just when you start winning, sure was nice. We even ended staying one extra night, cancelling our plans to move for a couple of nights elsewhere. We did not use any of the resturants on site. We're not much for gouging ourself's with over priced buffets. There are many options available where you can eat for 2 (Logan's) for what one dinner buffet cost and that goes for all of the casino buffets, not just the Palace's. Breakfast at a Waffle House isn't as bad as you may think, especially the one in D'lberville on the north side of I-10. We just don't gamble enough to get any deep discounts, that's not the casino's fault, it's just how we choose to play. The rooms could use the usual upgrades. Tv, no hd here, mattress & pillows need upgrading as does the decor and the bath is also outdated. The in-room internet is top notch. In-room safe is also something that we like very much. No noisy A/C here, though you may get to hear you're neighbors conversations sometimes. Just, remember this place was nearly wiped out just a few short years ago and they probably have struggled just to get the place up and running again. Casino and appearance of the rest of the place is on par with most other casino's. We did go looking for the pool and it can be quite a trip, kind of like a small adventure. But I believe that they did the best they could under the circumstances they had. We found the casino a little tight, and a little smaller than some of the others. But, in some ways it is better this way. I challenge any Biloxi casino to serve drinks faster than the Palace does while you are playing. We did spend 2 nights earlier in the week at the competition, twice I ordered a drink and never saw the waitress again, and I was still playing the same machine! It was also nice to see security once in awhile in the parking lot walking around and not riding in a car. We also saw security walking our floor on a couple of ocassions. Oops, maybe they we're watching us. Just nice to see somebody and not just assume the property is safe away from the casino. Not 100% sold on the parking garage though, seems to be a little dark and grim at night, so we stayed away from it. We found the staff top notch, from the valet's to the front desk to the casino waitresses, we experience no problems. Read the other reviews and make up your mind for yourself. Keep and open mind and believe me you can make a lot worse pick than staying at the Palace. I just know that we'll be back in the fall.
