“Sad if this is Mississippi's best. Burgers were okay. No choice how burgers are cooked. All were THOROUGHLY cooked.”
Very friendly and timely service were some of the positive features of Mugshots. The side dish of grilled veggies were good, the french fries were okay (average) though the fries were not what we ordered. The hamburgers were decidely average - very well cooked (we had no choice in the degree of doneness of the burger) and not much taste to them. What saved the burgers were the toppings of mushrooms and cheese and the sweetish tasting buns the burgers were served on. When our bill arrived it erroneously charged us for something we ordered but did not receive. The wait staff was nice but had a little bit of a problem understanding that. Maybe she was just having a bad day. The restaurant seemed to be popular with families with children.
There were several banners in the restaurant quoting Mississippi Magazine proclaiming Mugshots as having the best burgers in Mississippi. I know this is not the best Mississippi can do. Char's in Jackson, MS, does a tremendous burger though Char's is on a higher dining level than Mugshots.
