“An Historic Experience with great steaks!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

This was my second trip to Mary M's and it was a lovely as the first. It was fun to sit in the garden and enjoy a drink with friends under the majestic oaks and lush plants. You truly get the old Mississippi southern layed back experience there. Our steaks were huge and perfectly cooked. The appetizeters of fried shrimp and crab claws were well made but nothing compared to the gumbo, which let me tell you, was the REAL DEAL! Go there to relax and have a wonderful meal and soak up some of Mississippi's finest hospitality.

“Still great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

Another trip for lunch this time. Broiled or fried crab claws as appetizer. Stuffed Flounder with crabmeat. A healthy scoop! Broiled Salmon with pasta and sauce. Bread pudding for desert liquor optional. Sherbert as well. Got there before the lunch rush.

“Love, love, love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

I make a point to stop here every time I am in town. The gumbo is amazing. The fried shrimp is amazing. The free bread pudding is amazing. The atmosphere is historic. The broiled crab claws, uh, save some for me! Everything is fresh and service is always excellent.

“Still great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Had not been here since before Katrina. Glad to see the old gal is up and running and as good as ever. Our party of four had a late lunch and ordered a little of everything. We started off with some fantastic hot bread and things just kept getting better. The food servings were ample and the quality was excellent. All of the seafood was fresh and expertly prepared. The only off-comment was from a person that ordered the crab cakes and felt there could have been more lump crab meat in them. Everyone else was happy as a clam and the bill was very reasonable given the setting and quality of the offerings. Will definitely return.

“Great Food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

My wife and I drove over from Pensacola Beach for the night. Mary Mahoney's was recommended by the desk clerk that checked us in at the South Beach hotel. The food was great, but the service was average. My wife and I noticed more attention was given to surrounding tables by better servers. Nonetheless, we came here for the food and left very full and pleased. I had the "Stuffed Snapper" and my wife had the "Sisters of the Sea Au Gratin".....both excellent dishes, but a tad pricey!
