“A legend for a reason”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

We visited Mahoney's before a Mardi Gras ball. The hostess was a lovely, charming woman who joked around with us like she might with her own family. Our server has been with them for 20+ years. He made great recommendations which we appreciated. We started with the Presidential Platter loaded with fried crab claws and soft shell crabs. As we enjoyed that with a cocktail, Mr. Bobby Mahoney stopped by our table to chat for a minute. You can tell they are very hands on and dedicated to your enjoying the experience. My husband had Veal Antonio and he loved it. I had the stuffed snapper and it was fantastic-creamy, delicious and full of huge, gulf shrimp! They absolutely deserve the reputation they have. If you come to the coast treat yourself and if you live here-treat yourself again!

“Southern Seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

The blue cheese salad dressing was delicious.
The escargot came with brown gravy on top with a scattering of parmesan cheese, very different, but was good.
I had the stuffed snapper, which was good also.
Is the place to eat if you are in Biloxi.

“Great Food and History Together”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013 via mobile

Historical French home turned into a first class restaurant just off the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. We were immediately seated but taking in all of the historical artifacts and photos delayed arrival at our table. The dining areas are small and intimate because they were once various rooms in this early 18th century home. Staff was great and knew the entrees. The food was excellent and portioned just right. Prices are just a bit higher but not too high. A definite must stop for dining and local flavor.

“A little disappointed.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Went there with a couple of friends and was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews.
Reservations went off without a hitch. It was within walking distance of our hotel. Loved the old property. We were seated immediately. Our waiter was very helpful when we asked questions. Fred took very good care of us. The wine list was limited and priced off the chart. The salad was sad looking but the dressings were great.
My steak arrived cold. The trout, snapper and flounder were fabulous. The vegetable, steamed brocalli, was dull.
