“Great Location/average service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Parking lot confusing when you have been driving for 16 hours. You can park directly in front of doors to elevator to unload, but this can block parked cars. Had to call hotel on my cell phone to send someone down to let me in so that I could check in, since it was 11pm. Difficult to use luggage cart through little hallways back to room (not sure how easy it would be for wheelchair, despite being wheelchair room??)
Had been told on the phone that room had ocean view, it did IF you went on balcony...rest of view was parking lot and busy street outside--lots of road noise. The beach access was wonderful and room was large (handicapped room/suite) Room was basically clean, but not detailed; hair under mattress (I only saw during my bedbug check, NO bed bugs found) and stains on carpet, mold on shower curtain but overall was basically clean. Minifridge/coffee maker in room was nice.
Bed was lumpy with crater in middle, feel that it might be old? Nice bedding.
Front desk staff was nice.

Room Tip: I guess ask for ocean facing room, not ocean view...I am not sure of room # to ask for

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites with us. It is through our guest reviews that we are able to improve areas that are below expectations. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your room and your stay with us. We are looking at placing additional signage in the garage to assist with locating the 15 minute parking to allow check in without blocking traffic and also to let our guests know that the garage only goes to the second floor.
We apologize if you experienced any issues with your room that did not meet expectations. We have addressed your concerns with our housekeeping management team.
Again, thank you for your review and we hope to see you back at South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites!

Found this gem on Groupon and split the 2Br 1.5 Ba suite with a friend and our kids. This was a perfect, relaxing Spring Break getaway! The room was well-laid out, spacious and gave everyone enough area to spread out. The kids loved the bunk beds and the moms loved our huge balcony entirely facing the beach. Uncrowded and unpretentious with a great kitchen in the room, this hotel hit all the right notes for our getaway. Loved it.

Don't hesitate to stay here--the majority has it right! We got a directly oceanfront 2 bd/1.5 bath suite, and all I can see from the living room sofa out the huge glass sliding door is water. Leaving it open so the breeze can come in and all I hear is the waves...perfection. Just the life I needed. Everyone here has been incredibly welcoming and friendly; from housekeeping to bartender. The decor is airy and modern, I feel like I'm getting a rare luxury and the price was incredibly low. I'm so happy I'm actually writing this review from the room itself. 3 year old was thrilled with the huge bathtub and bunk bed in second bedroom! :) Bed is super comfortable, kitchen cozy, pizza from downstairs bar delicious. Couldn't get better! This place is a true steal.

Room Tip: See if you can get a room directly facing the water. Is it ever worth it!

My husband, 20 yr old daughter and myself stayed here for 2 nights. We had a single bedroom with sofa pullout. The entire building is modern and Super Clean!! The rooms have large wrap around balconys with 2 chairs and a small table. There is a full length granite counter top with blender, coffee maker, sink, flat screen tv. The bathroom is spacious with large tub/shower. We had to request additional bath towels and blankets as there were none in the room. Within minutes a gentleman was at our door with the items. Our one and only issue is that there is only one roll of toilet tissue and if you run out, as we did, you have to use tissues, no big deal but odd. The beach is literally steps away..you won't find a hotel closer to the water! We had a wonderful experience and have our #1 hotel choice while in Biloxi! A+ all the way!

Rooms are showing wear and few small signs of lack of maintenance since first visit. Great ocean views. Love the full kitchen-as we get our own fresh seafood and cook in a lot when there. Agree with earlier comment about needing another blanket on our bed-smaller room had comforter but ours didn't and this early in season was chilly sleeping. Housekeeping staff were friendly and did good job for us. However seems to be a discrepancy in our bill at checkout every year.

We had a wonderful visit in Mississippi and it's because we made our home at South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites. We appreciated the staff and their hard work. Our room was clean and they made sure we had towels for 8 people. The kitchen was a blessing. We had a fantastic view of the Gulf. Special thanks to Wanda who greeted us each morning for breakfast with a giant smile, hugs and great hospitality. We just loved her southern accents.

I had HIGH expectations of this hotel when I booked it online. The pictures looked amazing. It is a nice hotel, however, housekeeping ruined this stay for me!
We stayed there for four nights.
The rooms are huge and I love the "beachy" colors and decor. The room had a washer/dryer ( perfect for clothes from the beach), a full size stove, fridge, microwave, dishes even a blender and a toaster. Very nice!
My only complaint is regarding food and housekeeping and that is what is keeping me from giving it more stars.
The first day we were there we went down to breakfast, the selection was slim and what was there tasted so horrible we never went back. Even though it was free it was not worth the elevator ride down to eat it!
Some people we were with ate lunch there and said the same thing "just awful".
We were also dissapointed with the bar... we wanted to go and have a drink but it was closed, we asked the front desk what the hours were and she said " it depends on if anyone is there"????? what???? Well, we "tried" to "be there", but you were closed!
Back to the rooms...... I am pretty picky and the first thing I do is inspect the room. I pulled back the comforter and there was some hard black stuff on our sheet. We called the front desk and housekeeping came up immediatley. She said they send their sheets out to be cleaned and she thought it was something in the roller they use.... okay, but when the housekeepers put it on did they not notice that????
There was also a hair on the sink ( yuk!), the wash cloths were so dingy they looked dirty and I didn't use them. It was a crap shoot each day on what you would get for towels.... some days you would get two, some days three... some days you would get a bath mat, some days not, some days we would get one hand towel, some days two... you get the picture.... The entire time we were there they didn't clean the floors.
I really think management needs to inspect rooms and look at them from a visitors point of view.
The people we were with didn't even have a comforter on their bed, just one sheet and one THIN blanket.
The front desk girls were very, very nice
If they could get the housekeeping/food/bar issues worked out this would a great hotel but next time we will stay somewhere else.

Thank you for your feedback and I do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay with us. We have recently made a few changes to the items provided for breakfast and in the Level 3 Café. We will be making additional changes to our menu in the near future.
The Level 3 Bar does have set hours of operation as posted in our elevators and lobby. The Level 3 Café and Bar hours do however change seasonally. At this time we are closed on Monday and Tuesday. We are open 12pm-8pm on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday and 12pm-9pm on Friday and Saturday. We do however stay open later if we have guests at the bar or in the café at the time we are scheduled to close. I apologize that the associate you were speaking with didn’t communicate clearer on the hours of operation.
I have met with our housekeeping management team in regards to the issues you experienced in your room. This is not the level of service we expect our guests to receive and we are addressing the issues to prevent this from happening again in the future.
Again, I sincerely apologize that we did not meet your expectations during your stay with us. It is through your feedback however that we are able to address and correct any areas of concern. Thank you for your review on South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites.
