“Clean and served the purpose”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

We stayed 2 nights just to be by the beach. It was fairly closed to beach parking, about 1 mile. The room was very clean and smelled like oranges when we arrived. Plenty of towels and the refrigerator and extra blanket I requested. However the bed wasn't very comfortable and the pillows were awful, they were king size pillows and I had to shake them down to the size of a throw pillow just to sleep. And there tv service had issues. It kept freezing up every 2-3 minutes

This is a hotel for people that go to casinos, because that's all there is here. You can smoke in a casino. But there are no smoking rooms here at all and no balconys, so you have to go down to the 1st floor and go outside. The staff that checked us in just said this is a non-smoking hotel and all hotels in the area are too. Well she could have just said mam you may go out by the pool deck area and there are ashtrays out there for you to use, gees how hard would that have been!!!!!

Room Tip: Across from dirty bay water.

The staff that checked my husband and I in were very rude, made no eye contact, & acted like we were interrupting them when we checked in, so much in fact that they continued their conversation as we stood there waiting for room keys. VERY unprofessional! The patio makes this hotel. The atmosphere on it is amazing, that being said.... The bar service is a waste of time, over priced and not very strong drinks. It is across from the beach, but you will end up driving due to the hwy being right in front of it. I would like to add that it is one of the quietest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. However, the entire staff we came in contact with during our 4 day stay were rude EXCEPT for the cleaning staff, they were above and beyond friendly and helpful! The hotel room was modern but did not have a microwave or fridge in it. Overall, it was an average stay, but honestly the rude staff ruined the whole experience for us. We would not stay at this hotel again simply for that fact alone.... When you are spending money expecting a good experience, you like to be treated well.

My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice now. It is in a good location next to all the casinos and there is a shuttle that runs every hour to wherever you want to go. Very clean, and the staff is friendly. We have gotten great service both stays. The food from the menu is great, but the breakfast buffet was not very appetizing. Maybe it was because we got there around 10 but I think we will pass on the buffet next time. Overall a great hotel at a decent price, we will be back!

We arrived very close to check in time but were quickly and rudely told we would have to wait. Since I am on oxygen we chose to go back to the car. Once it was time, we went back in and then had to wait in line. Great. The room was okay. Clean but old. There aren't many Handicapped parking spaces so we had to park very far from the entrance. Don't eat at the restaurant. It was horrible. Bad service, bad attitude from the waitress, and the food wasn't very good.

Room Tip: Just say no.

Comfortable and clean with a good location and value for the $$. Nice view of the gulf but the freeway off ramp and AC unit made for a noisy night. I suggest to ask for a room on the parking lot side if you don't care about the view. It will be more quiet

This ranks in my top five worst hotel experiences. At check in the line was all the way back to the door. There was one young lady at the desk who was working her can off to help someone checking in. The problem arose when three folks came out from the back and looked at the long line and put their sunglasses on and walked out the door. As I moved up a bit closer an older lady came and stood over the shoulder of the one young lady working. After a few minutes she put some papers down and said "I guess I'll just have to talk to you later about this" and walked off. Again the line was back to the entry door. As I got on the elevator to go to my floor you could feel the heat. As the elevator door opened on my floor the heat was stifling. The entire building shook any time a large truck came down the interstate next to the hotel. At various points during the night the AC made these terrible noises and shook the window. The water pressure in the shower was less than average. Had I not been able to walk out and see the ocean this would have been a complete disaster.

Room Tip: Go down the street!

Dear Valued Guest:

I want to apologize for the long wait at check in. During the busy summer we experience some wait lines at check in and staff appropriately to provide the best check in experience possible. The elevator a/c has been repaired and I apologize the temperature was unacceptable. I hope you will give us the chance to serve you in the future and enjoy both the wonderful location and our commitment to exceeding your expectations.
