We ate here recently with a party of 4 for an early dinner at around 6pm. We sat in a very comfortable and private booth and received excellent service from the primary server Alex.
All of us went for the 3 course set menu and were impressed with the options to swop out items and customize the menu. Our starters included chopped salad, Caesar salad and house salad with blue cheese dressing to which we added a portion of onion rings and barbeque shrimp with a tangy sweet sauce. It is worth mentioning before the appetizers arrived we totally devoured at least 3 baskets of their warm and fresh bread.
The environment of the restaurant was cozy and is split into 2 sections - the dining area and the bar area. If the bar was very busy we would imagine that the restaurant could be noisy, this was not the case for our dining experience on a Monday evening!
For our entrées we all had steak - no surprise here - it's Ruth's Chris. In reading other reviews it seems some had bad experiences but this was not the case on our visit. All 4 entrées arrived with sizzling hot plates at 500 degrees as Alex cautioned us! The steaks were superbly cooked. Each entrée includes one side dish and we ended up with 2 creamed spinach, 1 creamy mashed potatoes and 1 sweet potato.
If there's any criticism of the set menu it's the dessert - so we paid a small up charge and ordered 2 regular desserts, a bread pudding with whiskey sauce and a banana cream pie. These were both absolutely delicious and we would most definitely go to Ruth's Chris just for dessert they were that good!!!!
Overall a superb relaxed evening of friendship, great food and another shout out to Alex for excellence in service!!
