We were looking for a spot to have a nice lunch by the river on a Sunday afternoon. We were directed to Slippery's by a smart phone search. Great choice.
The bar struck me as sort of a dive bar but the drinks were good. Once we were seated (on their deck overlooking the Mississippi) I ordered the Cajun catfish. In one word... succulent. My wife's meal (chicken) was also very good, according to Darlene.
The entire time we were there we felt as if we were treated like old friends. Service was available, not over the top, but definitely not French!
