Family stayed at Grand Superior Lodge in October for a couple days of vacation. Made reservations months in advance for cabin with two joined rooms and a king bed. Availability was confirmed a week before arrival. Rooms were not what we reserved and confirmed. Equipment, such as grill and fireplace, did not work properly. Manager was defensive, rude, and unapologetic. There are better hotels/resorts at same or less cost in this area with better staff and management (we checked while in the area). This hotel offers a cheap experience at a premium price. This would be an OK place if the management was better and parking was adequate.

Stayed here with my husband for our 8th anniversary and we just wanted to relax and hang out in our suite. The first night was good until I went to sleep and looked on the side of my night stand where we found garbage from a previous stay. Someone had shared some wine and the cork was still laying on the floor. The following day my husband and I left for a bit and when we came back the cleaning crew had already been in our room and the garbage remained. Makes me wonder how well the staff clean the rooms. Also, if you just want to watch tv...there are limited channels and they really don't come in at all. They have a dvd library but the selection is very poor. Also, when we were out and about on the grounds there were staff members out and lets just say their conversation was less than desirable. Apparently our room happened to be above the laundry/housekeeping room and we had four wheel traffic and van traffic most of the day back and forth. The staff were not very polite and we got to listen to their music as they unloaded all of their cleaning supplies/laundry. The fireplace was great and the view was wonderful, but I would not stay in that room again.

Everything was forgotten as soon as we pulled in the parking lot. It was beautiful, the view, buildings and grounds. We stayed in the lodge and the room was beautiful, spa tub, fireplace, deck, you could not asked for anything more. Very clean and oh sooooo comfortable. The bar and restaurant had great charm and a super view and good food. There were so many activities available that we ran out of time to complete them all so we are already planning another trip back. It is a wonderful place to sit back, relax and enjoy life.

Great location, beautiful views, good food and service in restaurant. Uncomfortable beds and pillows are hard as a brick, bring your own.
