“Fall beauty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Very beautiful state park. Another reason to tour these great states we live in. Short hike to the falls, or longer hikes to the other falls, there are stairs but also wheelchair friendly as well.

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

This rugged windswept park is a great stop along the scenic drive. It is located just north of Two Harbors about 10 minutes. Be ready for a challenging walk and climb. There are glorious views of nature throughout the park. Take you time and enjoy the scenery. allow about 45 minutes.

“Beautiful area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Very nice and easy hike back to the falls. We're a little spoiled by some of the magnificent falls we've visited, but these are worth the hike.

Thank you State of Minnesota for such great hiking and biking trails and visitor centers! Great views of Lake Superior, river, falls, and autumn leaves.

“Must-See stop along Lake Superior”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Gooseberry Falls State Park is apparently the most-visited state park in Minnesota. It is family- and hiker friendly. There is wheelchair access along part of the pathway. Otherwise, plan on lots of steps up and down. Its beautiful location gives you a feeling both for the north woods and for Lake Superior (if you hike the loop to the lake). The visitors center has an interesting gift shop, and rangers offer little tutorials outside throughout the day. We were there only for a brief time. If I ever returned to the area, I would definitely make it a longer focus of the trip.
